Based on Psalm 61

*Let this God inspired writing...from His heart to ours; shed light on a darkened path and become a prayer of hope that can keep our hearts distant from moments of despair,
​while keeping us closely connected with God!

Oh Lord...I'm walking through a lonesome valley; where all that surrounds me, are the storms of circumstance. The path I once followed, was filled with sunshine and beautiful things; but now, I feel as if this path is about to lead me directly into a pit of destruction.
Is there not a place where You can take me...a place where I can stand on high with You and look down on these moments, rather than face to face with them...for You have always longed to be the shelter that could surround me and keep me safely protected from these storms.
Lord...let me abide in your presence; for in Your presence, I learn to trust You more, while finding safety from the storm. Take me away from this storm that pursues me and attempts to bring me down. Let your almighty wings be the shelter that places this storm at a distance...where it can no longer have control over my life.
I thank You Lord; that You can hear the cries of Your people...and that Your ears are attentive to the cry of my heart; for I have learned that it's through a humble heart...a heart that fears You...and the power that is contained within You; that I find what You have reserved for me.
Lord, may I always find You to be my safe haven from the storm...a place where I remain closely connected with You, rather  than the stormy moments of circumstance...for in You I am always lifted high above the moments that attempt to bring me low.
May Your unfailing love and faithfulness be the angels that watch over me; that I may continue to sing praises to You...praises of a God...whom I know will never fail me, as I continue to walk the path that You oh Lord, hath set before me...Amen!
