Based on Psalm 30:6-12

7/2/2019

*This writing was truly God inspired and given to us; that we may keep our focus on the One who blesses us, rather than becoming safe and secure in the blessing alone.

How many times do we lean on what we see before us, rather than the One who made the way before us? A moment enters our lives, when we become too secure in the things we have been blessed with; that our thoughts become dependent on those things, rather than the One who brought about the blessing.
As our faith becomes caught up in things; our sight begins to drift away from God, which shatters the connection; that once brought about those blessings. From there, the sunshine of a perfect day now passes by and the storm clouds move in and life begins to change...with struggles and difficulties. We then find ourselves crying out to the One; that we felt so deeply connected to at one time, as we beg him to remove us from the pit; that was gradually dug, through the actions of relying on things, rather than God.
As our eyes begin to open wide for the first time; we begin to realize; that the One who blessed us; is the One we hold to, rather than the blessing itself...for the blessing is something that comes and goes with time; but the One who has truly blessed us; is the One who remains eternal.
After seeing the error of our way; we cry out to God once more and say... "Oh Lord, if You let me perish, within this pit I dug for myself; then what will this profit...for I have had my eyes opened to the truth." "How will this truth that has come to me; be used to bring the truth to another...if I remain in total despair?"
From there; God's mercy reaches deep within the pit to save and spare us from the clutches of evil. As we are lifted from the pit; the darkness we once felt deep within that pit of despair, has now become a new dawn, as we praise the One and only living God!
