From His heart to yours... (Given during a late night alone with God, on June 11, 2019)
In the stillness of another night; God's presence can be found. It's a presence that has come to bring comfort and peace, as another day draws to an end. No matter what I've faced or struggled through in this day; His presence has a way of calming the moments; that had at one time seemed so out of control. I have come to see numerous times; that God is a God who longs to draw us into His arms, rather than reject us.
It seems as though we tend to get caught up with the thought that there can't be a perfect love...a love that can go way beyond what we experience in this world, which only leads us to believe that God will reject us and walk away; just as others have in our lives.
God must sit in the heavens and wonder how we can know of the love that was shed upon us, through His Son's death on the cross; but yet find it difficult to believe in a love that could be experienced personally from His heart to ours. Do we really need any other proof of His love, when the greatest love has already been demonstrated to us?
One thing I've come to see; is how easily we can feel unloved and rejected by God...only because we experienced it once from someone we thought we could trust. Now because of these untrusting moments of rejection; we now visualize God responding to us in a similar way.
God wants us to look back to a sacrificial love...a time when His Son was willing to lay aside His entire life for ours. Once we truly come to believe in this love that has given up so much for us; then we will also begin to see how real His love is...a love that goes way beyond any other so-called love.
