Hello everyone! Welcome back today, to “A New Day of New Hope Blog!” I am so…so glad you stopped by today and I am truly looking forward to our time together! I pray that as we spend these moments together; that we will truly experience something powerful; that will inspire us to keep pressing on...Amen!!
One thing I can say about my Thursday’s; is that this is the busiest day of my week! I am either in my kitchen or in my office…take your pick…lol! You’re probably wondering why I would be in my kitchen, just as much as I am in my office. Well…this is the story…I’m in my kitchen…cooking up a storm, for Thursday…Friday…and Saturday meals…because why? Because my schedule is so tight; that I don’t have time for cooking in those evenings; so I get up on my Thursday morning…get around…go back in my office for a while and then I’m in my kitchen, with the great aroma of everything cooking, all at once. Once I’m done there…I have lunch with Keith and then I shut myself up in the office, for several hours, as I write. Whew…no wonder I’m tired! It’s exhausting…just talking about it…and that is only for the morning and afternoon!
Anyways…as I got up yesterday morning, I was still a little hung over, from the pain and tiredness that I had experienced from the day before; but as I began my day, I was determined that this day was going to start out on the right foot. After getting around, I came in my office and decided to get rid of the heart that was attempting to take me down and overwhelm me…and put on a new heart...one that God could keep replenishing with His strength and peace...and you know what…the day went great!
No matter what we face…it’s never easy…is it? I have to tell you…there are times, when I truly feel like Paul in the Bible, with that thorn sticking out of my side. Some days can feel as if that thorn is just there, while other days can feel like the thorn is being wiggled around just enough, to make the day overwhelmingly miserable.
One thing about Paul; is that even though God never removed his thorn of affliction…God made it known to Paul that His grace would be sufficient enough, to see him through that difficult time in his life. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
You know…there can be days, when our bodies are trying to convince us that we will never make it…believe me, I know; but I have truly come to see…just like Paul; that God’s grace is sufficient, for whatever lies ahead of us…for it’s through these moments of weakness; that we truly experience a strength that can take us the extra mile; that’s needed in a day.
One thing that I would like to encourage you with today…as we end our time together; is to never give up on these overwhelming days. You know…sometimes, we just need to stop everything…take a deep breath and let God replenish us with a strength that can truly replace any weakness in our lives; that’s attempting to take us down.
Well…it’s about time for me to go; but I truly pray that your days ahead, will be filled with a perfect peace; that can carry you through the difficult and overwhelming moments of a day! Please take care and enjoy your weekend and I will see you again on Monday morning!
Many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
