Hello everyone…and a “Happy Friday” to you! Welcome today, to “A New Day of New Hope Blog”…through the Risen Hope Ministries! It’s so good to be back with you…and before we begin, I would like to take a little time to praise God, for bringing us all through this week! My prayer for you today; is that you will continue to feel the loving presence of God close by…no matter what you may walk through in life!
Well…yesterday was the big cook off at our home! You’re probably wondering…what is she talking about? Well…you have to understand my schedule…to understand why a woman would take a whole morning on Thursday, to cook to her hearts content. Maybe I should explain…before saying anything more.
Anyways…since the end of the week is the busiest for me…I like to take Thursday morning and cook mainly for Thursday…Friday and Saturday…and then put it all in the fridge, until the appointed time…when we will enjoy some really good home cookin!
I have to be honest with you…I love to cook; but I don’t like the standing in the kitchen…and my legs have a way of conveying the same message to me; but I do it anyway because if I gave into the thoughts of not doing what needs to be done; then I would probably find myself giving up on life itself.
You know…when I can see how something can be accomplished on two bad legs; then moments like these have a way of pumping me up, for other things I need to accomplish…and before I know it…I find myself looking beyond the pain, to complete other things too.
As I’ve been sitting here today…I was thinking on one verse in the Bible that we all seem to love and that is Philippians 4:13. We all have it memorized; but I wonder how many of us truly live the words we read? The Bible verse says…“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” To me…this verse says it all! Just think…we can do ALL things through Christ…and why…because of His strength…not ours. I think that many times, we become too deeply focused on how we feel and how much further we feel we can go, to accomplish something…never really thinking that there is a strength that can kick into overdrive for us.
One thing I know…if I went on my own so-called strength; you would probably never hear from me, for one thing…lol! We must remember that it’s through our weaknesses that we are made strong…and what a great opportunity to experience the awesome and magnificent strength of God; then through times of weakness. Many times, we allow our weaknesses to tell us that we are no good for ourselves or any other person; but I have found that when God is included in these moments of weakness…that is when we see how strong we can really be!
Well…I have really enjoyed this time with you today…but it’s time for me to go! I really hope that you will have a blessed Friday! Enjoy your weekend…take care and I will hope to be back with you on Monday morning!
Many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
