Hello everyone…”Happy Monday”…and a big welcome today, to “A New Day of New Hope Blog”…through the Risen Hope Ministries! Well…here we go again…another new week! As we begin this brand new week, I pray that God will truly be with us…through every new step we take with Him!
Well…I hope that you all had a very nice weekend…I know I did! For the first time in months, I took some time off on Saturday, to just not have a schedule…and wow was that different…but very nice! I did come online in the morning…to do some work on Twitter; but when I was finished, I headed for the kitchen and made a couple things and then I was out the door, into some fresh air and sunshine. I’ll tell you…I think my lungs were in shock…lol! After heading out the door…the first thing that I wanted to do; was to finally dismantle my Christmas wreaths and turn the porch into spring and summer attire. I have several wreaths that I interchange within the different seasons of the year; so it was time to brighten them up with bright and cheery colors of silk flowers. I also have a wooden sign that I painted…quite some time back, while being laid up; that says “Welcome Spring;” so he went out there too. Now everything looks beautiful and alive once more…after a long winter! When I finished the porch…I thought to myself; should I stop for lunch or just keep going…and believe me when I say…it didn’t take much time to decide that I would just keep going. It’s amazing how we can get caught up in schedules during the week; so I decided it was time to break the schedule and go out back and see what my husband was up to. Recently, we just go another birdbath; that lights up with a solar bird feeder; so I wanted to have him put some dirt in the planter below; so it would weigh it down better. Also, I had some extra bright colored silk flowers that were older; so I decided to fill the planter with those…and wow…what color! As you can see, I am trying to enjoy something that doesn’t take a lot of time to care for…something that can always look nice. Once I was finished working on that little project, I just walked around the yard and enjoyed what I don’t always get to enjoy; then my husband offered to help me with my bird feeder, which was a great help. During the winter, I had this feeder hanging in the tree; but during the last bout of heavy wind; I saw that thing swinging pretty good in the air…and didn’t want to see it crash into my office window; so he brought it down out of the tree and put it on a post for me…which I just love! You know…I have found that it doesn’t take much in life, to make me happy…just some fresh air and sunshine and a few relaxing projects, to remove the stress of a busy week. One thing I have truly come to love within my own life…are the simple things of life; that bring peace and a happiness within my heart; that truly draws me closer to God. When I look back on some of the past moments of my life; it seemed as if my life was so cluttered with what I did personally, to make myself happy…but that wasn’t a lasting happiness…only a temporary happiness. As we begin this brand new week…reach out to the simple things in life; that will truly allow you to connect with a God of great peace…love and happiness; so you can experience life, for what it was truly meant to be! Have a great Monday...take care and I will hope to be back with you again tomorrow! God bless! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane
