Hello everyone! Happy Monday…and a big welcome today, to “A New Day of New Hope Blog”…through the Risen Hope Ministries! Here we go…time to start another new week…and my prayer today; is that we will find ourselves always walking close beside God, as we go from one day into another!
Well…I don’t know about you; but I had a great weekend! It was a time of relaxation…time with God and more rest on Sunday afternoon. I’ll tell you…I have truly come to appreciate the word “sleep!” You know…I remember a time, when I first began this ministry…about 17 years ago…and I never needed a nap…although I was a little younger then…and believe me when I say…it does make a difference…at least that is what I have come to see. Anyways…we all need a time, when we can regroup and let God put everything back in order…and that’s what I find myself doing…pretty much every weekend, as I prepare for another new week. Lately, I have been feeling a little frustrated because my schedule is so busy; that there really isn’t even an inch of space, to move things around anymore. Due to a lot of work for the ministry…plus keeping up my home; it’s not always easy to find some really good one to one time with God. Don’t get me wrong, I do spend my days with God and when I write, I’m always in God’s word…but lately, I have felt the need to just get quiet in God’s presence and let Him renew my heart and spirit…so I sat down the other day and was determined to find some time…just for me and God…and I actually did. As of early Sunday morning, I got right around and went into my office and it was just me and God, for about 45 minutes. This time with God actually reminded me of the moments, when I would sit for hours…reading His word and writing because as I began my study in the book of Philippians on Sunday morning; I also found myself writing down some thoughts that could help me…and as a result of this time with God, I was also able to pass along some thoughts on Twitter. You know…I have come to see that God’s word can work in many ways within our lives. First, I see His word, as a book of comfort and renewed hope; then I see it as a mighty weapon…to ward off the works of darkness. Let’s face it…we all need to fill up our hearts and minds with God’s word; that these words may keep us strong, while walking us through anything that may attempt to come and take us down. What a better way to begin another new week; then to spend quality time with God…before starting the day. I truly believe that when we commune with God and let His word flood and fill every chamber of the heart; then that word will become a defense, to help and sustain us during the unknown and difficult moments of a day. As you begin your day…get alone with God and let His word speak to your heart…and let each word you read become stepping stones; that can be used by God, to walk you through your day. One thing I know…when God’s word is in us; then nothing can defeat us…for His words will be there, to steer us away from the obstacles that enter our path and attempt to take us down. Well…it’s been another great visit…and I pray that this first day of your week, will be the beginning of better days to come! Take care and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow…but until then…God bless! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane
