Hello everyone…and a “Happy Thursday” to you! Welcome today, to “A New Day of New Hope Blog”…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad you stopped by today…and I pray that as you begin another new day; that you will truly experience the loving presence of God in your day!

Sometimes I really wonder if we truly know Jesus…or could it be that we just know of Him. I remember a time in the past, when I claimed Jesus as my Savior…but later I came to see that I had bound Him up within my heart, while I lived my life according to me. The only bad thing about that; is that I wasn’t strong enough…nor did I have the wisdom enough, to come out of the problems I was facing at the time.

You know…I have come to see that having Jesus in our lives; is more than a walk down a church isle…and it’s more than just reading the Bible…singing in the choir or even teaching Sunday School. It’s about a close knit relationship with Him…all the way!

One thing I can definitely say about my past…and all the pain and deep heartache I went through; is that it caused me to lean and depend on Jesus, instead of myself. Now, I can’t get a good night’s sleep, without resting in His loving arms of peace…and I can’t get these bad legs out of bed each morning, without a strength that supersedes my own so-called strength.

Yesterday, I had to go grocery shopping and once my husband and I were finished…it was time to call the taxi and go home…and pick up from where I left off. After I called the dispatch; they said that they would get a taxi there for us, as soon as possible. Well…this must have been a busy day…because we stood outside of the store, for almost 45 minutes. At this time, my husband wasn’t feeling the best and my legs were starting to bother me…and it came to the place, where my husband began to wonder if we should call them and see what the reason for the delay was. I said to him…why don’t we wait 5 more minutes and if they don’t show up; then I will call them back. Just after that, I bowed my head and said… “Lord, we could use your help”…and I’m not kidding; as I lifted my head…here came the taxi.

You know…why do we invite Jesus to come into our hearts; so He can do His good work within us…only to turn around and tie His hands and hold Him hostage within the heart, while we attempt to run the show? Don’t we realize what a relationship we could have with Jesus, if only we were willing to walk beyond religion and come to know Him, for who He truly is?

I have come to see…especially in these days that we are now living…as to how much I truly need Jesus in my life each day. You know…we never really come to know Jesus or lean on Him, if we are always looking the other direction…a direction that can end up being controlled by Satan.

There is a beautiful hymn that I just love and it’s titled, “I Need Thee Every Hour”…and a few of the lyrics go like this… “I need thee every hour, in joy or pain. Come quickly and abide or life is vain. I need thee, oh, I need thee…every hour I need thee; oh, bless me now, my Savior, I come to thee.”

As we prepare to begin another new day; my prayer is that we will truly come to see how much we need Jesus in our lives. Get to know Jesus…love Him…and even more; let Him love and care for you…for He loves you so much!

Well…it’s been another great visit with you today! I just love Jesus…and my heart continues to thank and praise Him, for the distance He’s brought me…and for the relationship we share each day! May your day be truly filled with His loving presence! Take care…and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow! God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
