Hello everyone…Happy Tuesday…and a big welcome today, to “A New Day of New Hope Blog!” It’s so good to be back with you again and my prayer today; is that we will all find a piece of hope to hold to…a hope that can keep us lifted high above the moments of despair!
As we begin our time together today, I think that I would like to talk with you about Satan…yes, Satan! Lately, I have had about enough of him in my life and one reason why I’m sharing this with you today; is to let him know that he has been brought to light!
Quite some time back, I was visiting with a lady that I met, when I had first started the ministry…which was about 16 years ago. We both were talking on how Satan had been doing everything he could, to come at us…in our own personal lives. From there, I said to her... “You know what we need to do?” She replied and said… “What?” I said… “I need to get out my cast iron skillet and knock him back into hell, where he belongs…and you know what… I don’t think that I had ever heard a lady laugh as much as she did at that time…and to this day, when I do come in contact with her…she will ask me, if I’ve gotten out the iron skillet lately.
Seriously though…we know that Satan isn’t more powerful than God…but he is powerful and when one of his plans don’t succeed…he seems to go back to the drawing board and figure out something new…something stronger…and this is when the battle can be fierce.
One thing I’m reminding myself of…more and more; is to not let these moments win out in my life. You know…it’s so easy to want to give into these moments; but we need to remember that when we do; then Satan not only wins…but life becomes even more difficult; because we are now on his side of the battle, rather than God’s side of the battle.
Yesterday…as I began my day…everything seemed to go so perfect…and I even accomplished more, in a lesser amount of time; then what I had first thought. After leaving my office, to get dinner prepped and get around for the evening…it was like I could feel evil all around me. Immediately, I began to pray and ask God for His help and peace…but as I felt God working on my behalf…it seemed as if more was coming my way. It actually got to the place, where I was about ready to quit my work, for the remainder of the day; but as I came into the office and sat quietly in the presence of God; I began to feel His strength win out over evil…and before I knew it, I was back to work…and life was going merrily along, which made me realize that God had won the battle in my life.
You know…I completely understand how difficult it can be, while facing these battles…but we might as well realize that we are never going to be able to press on with God, when we give into them. What we need to do; is bring them to light and let the light of God’s presence illuminate evil; so that the work that Satan had planned, will fall powerless to the ground.
As we walk through these end times; we all seem to be facing many difficult battles in life; but I am once more reminded of a verse from Matthew 24:13 that says… “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
You know…these day to day struggles can make us feel as if we are walking across a battlefield. We can be drained from these battles and very overwhelmed; but I have come to see that when we are determined to keep pressing on…no matter how difficult it gets; then these moments…brought about by evil, do come to an end.
As we close our time together today; there is one thing that I would like to say to you…and that would be, to never give up. Never let evil win in your life; but let God fight these hard and difficult battles for you. When we truly let it all go, into the hands of a powerful God…He will ALWAYS remain undefeated in our lives...praise God!
Well…I hope that you have enjoyed this time together and have found that piece of hope to hold to today. My prayer for you; is that you will have a great day…and may God truly be with you! See you tomorrow!
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
