Hello everyone! Welcome today, to “A New Day of New Hope Blog”…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I’m so glad that you decided to stop by and spend some time with me today! My prayer for you; is that you will have a great day, with God leading the way! May you truly feel safe and secure, in His everlasting arms of love!

Yesterday, as my afternoon of work was coming to a close, I was feeling a little overwhelmed, from everything that came my way throughout the day. Isn’t it amazing, how a person can have a day all planned out…only to find obstacles in the path ahead…before it even comes to an end.

Anyways…as I was getting around for my evening; God began to speak to my heart and before I knew it…I was quickly writing this thought out on toilet tissue, which I do at times… “Feeling safe and secure isn’t found in the absence of a problem; but rather, it’s found in the presence of God.” How many times do we view our problems in this way? How is it that the problem has to be gone, before we can feel safe and secure…and even at peace?

As I finished getting around, my mind began to think even more on what I had just written...and you know…it’s so true…we sit and beg God to remove each obstacle from our path…thinking that this is the only way we are going to feel free and at peace; when all along, all we need is God’s loving arms around us…arms that can make us feel safe and secure…and arms that can sustain us, until He is ready to remove the obstacle from our path.

As I look back on my own life, I remember many times, when I would beg and beg God to free me from the circumstances I was facing at the time. I never really gave thought, as to how God might be using them or even how He might be allowing them into my life, as a means of leaning on Him…all I wanted at the time, was to be free from them and at peace.

Later I came to truly connect with 2 Corinthians 12:9, which says… “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Why do we need a problem to convince us; that as long as it exists; then we will never feel safe…secure or at peace within our lives; when there is a God, whose grace is sufficient, for all we need? This Bible verse has truly been an eye opener for me and when I think on the grace that was so freely given to us; then I feel safe and secure in the knowledge; that Christ will always be close by, to exchange the weak moments, for a strength that can take me above the obstacles that attempt to keep me from pressing on.

You know…we all are going to have days, where we just feel overwhelmed and out of control, by the unknown moments that attempt to enter our paths; but just remember one thing…while we are waiting for the storm to pass; God will always be there to hold us close and shelter us from the storm.

Wow…what a great time I’ve had with you today! I need this encouragement, just as much as you do…and I praise God, for sharing this time with us today! I pray that you will truly feel the loving arms of God around you…no matter what may enter your path! Take care…have a great day and I will hope to be back with you again tomorrow! God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
