Hello everyone…and a “Happy Wednesday!” Welcome today, to “A New Day of New Hope Blog”…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so happy to have you with me…and my prayer; is that you will truly experience the blessings, of a loving and caring God in your day!
You know…it seems as though we all have our days, when the struggles and challenges of this life, attempt to overtake us. One day we can be feeling good and experiencing life, as though we are walking in the sunshine of God’s goodness and then before we know it, the rain clouds move in and completely wash out the happy and peaceful moments that we once experienced.
Yesterday, I was having one of those days, where I just couldn’t get moving. Seems like lately, I have been overtired…especially when it comes to experiencing the long days of chronic pain. Even though these moments attempt to take me down, I continue to press on…for I have a job to do for the Lord.
One thing God has shown me through these day to day struggles; is that His strength is always greater than the weakness. As Satan keeps adding, to a problem that is already alive and at work within us; God is right behind him…removing each thing off the stack; that attempted to bring us down to total destruction.
You know…I wonder why we allow our thoughts to be taken captive, within a problem that is weaker than our God. I know for myself; that it can be a struggle to keep my mind off the pain and press on; but I have come to see that when I choose to walk beyond the pain…to write or do some other ministry work; then the pain begins to fade some into the background of my day. Maybe this is our problem…maybe we haven’t got our focus, where it should be with God.
As I have lived most of my life in pain, I have come to see one thing…God never intended, for our minds to think on two things at one time. Just think…there is only one passageway to the brain; so if our thoughts are on God and the brain waves are leading God into our thoughts; then nothing else can enter that connection but God.
I find it so amazing, as to how these moments of affliction can control our thoughts and get us to believe a deceptive lie; that can actually be used against us…to drag us down a road…that can lead us to some unknown territory…where all we end up feeling is hopeless. Maybe we should see this as a reminder…to always keep a tight focus on God. I know for me…peace is found, when I converse with God and keep Him alive within my thoughts. Just think…we have a God, who will listen patiently, to these hurtful moments we experience…and all we have to do is keep that connection going with Him. To me…nothing can be more pleasant; then to talk with a close friend like God…One who will not only listen to the hurtful moments I experience; but will also be the strength I need…a strength that can keep me from becoming even more weaker, through these struggles and challenges I face, from day to day.
You know…this has been a great discussion for me today; because we all need a little pumping up, when Satan attempts to keep us down. I hope that you will find today; that there is a way to experience peace…and a hope that can sustain you and keep you lifted high above the problem…and that way is to keep your thoughts on God…for this kind of a connection will truly help you to remain disconnected from the deceptive ways of Satan.
Have a great day…take care and I will hope to be back with you again tomorrow! God bless!
