Dear Reader…
Hello everyone and a big welcome to my brand new page…“A New Day of New Hope Blog!” I am so happy to have you with me today…and I pray that this new writing that God has blessed us with, will truly help us all to experience His hope, during our deepest hour of need!

As some of you already know…I do live with chronic pain and this pain has a way of being controlled by you know who (Satan)! We might as well face it…any form of weakness that seems to be hanging around, is going to be a place for Satan to feast on…especially when we choose to give into these weak moments.

The problem I have; is that I find it hard to get enough rest, which can be Satan’s way of discouraging me…not only through the pain; but through the business of each day. Many times, I wake up in the morning, with a body that hasn’t had good rest; so I’m not only struggling to get moving; but my legs are struggling in the same way.

One thing God has shown me through these difficult times; is that when we give into the thoughts and feelings that Satan implants within our minds and hearts; then that is when Satan also wins the battle. Believe me when I say…life is definitely not easy! The struggles we face from day to day can truly attempt to take us down; so we need a hope that will keep us moving in the right direction.

One Bible verse, in particular; that has always helped me to keep pressing on; is found in Philippians 3:12…and we read… “Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.” There is one thing that God has reminded me of through this verse and that is to first accept that I am not perfect. In other words…if we feel that we already have it together…and that our way of coping is to stay strong on our own; then we will never experience the strength that God can give us to press on…and not only that; we will find that we are feeling even more drained, by trying to muddle through a problem on our own…that is just too big for us to handle.

I remember many times in the past, when I would succumb to my pain and allow it to abuse me emotionally…that is, until I began to see that I was letting Satan have his way, while making this powerful God that lived within me very weak.

You know…each day is going to be filled with struggles and challenges…especially in the life of a Christian…and there will be times, when we just don’t want to press on anymore; but we must remember that this isn’t the time to give into these weaknesses; but rather this is the greatest opportunity to experience a strength that can take us way beyond, what we could ever do for ourselves.

Today, may I encourage you to not focus on what the problem is attempting to convey to you; but rather, lay yourself and all your weaknesses beneath the feet of a strong God; who can be strength for you…a God who can take you to a place that you never thought or imagined could ever be.

When we truly look beyond our weaknesses and what they are attempting to do to us; then I know…with all my heart; that we will find that God’s strength is more than sufficient, to carry us through the hard and difficult times of life!
Many blessings on your day…
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
