I don’t know what you may be going through right now; but it seems like my life has been headed in a direction of day to day pain…and physical pain has a way of controlling the mind, which I’m sure Satan longs to have happen.
Anyways…these days of pain can be very overwhelming at times…and extremely tiresome at the same time; but today, as I was thumbing through my Bible…God was giving me a verse of hope, in Romans 8:18…and we read… “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later.”
You know…these overwhelming moments that Satan uses against us, can convey messages to us that says… “Give up…there is no way out!”…or…“You might as well quit because you won’t be able to go on much longer.” This should be the time, when we tune Satan out and take hold of God’s word and find a piece of hope to help us press on…and the hope I’m finding in this Bible verse…in Romans 8:18 is this…just hold on because these difficult moments you’re facing are nothing in comparison to an eternity with God…an eternity that will be free from these difficult moments we’re facing right now.
Throughout time, there is one thing that has truly helped me, during the rough times and that is to take my circumstance and put it on a scale…and then on the other side of the scale, place the “glory of an eternity with God.” Soon, I find that the future that’s awaiting me with God; far outweighs the circumstance, which helps me to not feel so overwhelmed by my situation.
You know…Jesus never said that these moments would be easy but He also gave us a promise and a hope to live for…a promise; that one day, He would wipe the final tear from our eye and there would be no more suffering.
No matter what you’re facing…just know that as Christians…we have so much awaiting us; that will eventually make these moments appear as nothing. Just hold on and even more…take hold of the hand of God and He will walk you through these difficult moments, until He’s ready to walk you into Heaven, for all of eternity.
