Just the other day, it seemed like God was reminding me of His perfect strength…a strength that is so different from our own so-called strength…one that can keep us standing, even when we feel as though we cannot continue on any further.
After being reminded of God’s strength the other day…He now seemed to be putting me through a test of perseverance. Yesterday, I was working on a project for the ministry and I’ll tell you…I fought everything…and even before I was finished; I was ready to go and soak my head in the shower…that’s how bad it was. It seemed like I would make it so far with this project and truly believe that what I was working on, was about to be accomplished and then everything came crashing down and I found myself back, to where I first started.
Today, as I was in God’s word, He led me to a Bible verse in Galatians 6:9…and we read… “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not..”…and this is exactly what I got a good reminder of! Just at the moment, when I was about to throw in the towel and give up on ever seeing this project completed…it was as though God was whispering within my spirit… “Don’t give up, Diane”…so I didn’t…and just before it was time to quit…everything came together, in a much better way then what I first imagined it to be.
One thing God has taught me repeatedly over the years; is to never give into anything because when we do; then we find out later; that we completely miss out on what the end results would be, which is truly God’s very best for our lives.
No matter how difficult life may seem and no matter how long the journey may be…never give up because God has a plan behind everything He has allowed within your life.
