"Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10

"He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. (8) That is why he is not afraid but can calmly face his foes." Psalm 112:7-8

"You are my hiding place from every storm of life; you even keep me from getting into trouble! You surround me with songs of victory." Psalm 32:7

Why is it that we place fear above the power of a mighty God? When we think about it...fear only debilitates us, while keeping us imprisoned, in a world that controls what we are experiencing for the moment. The Bible verses that have become my companion in life; are the ones I have written above, which are found in Psalm 112:7-8. I have come to see that when we are connected to the perfect love of Jesus and truly believe in the promises that He gives us in His word; then we won't easily fall prey to fear but rather, we will have a settled back feeling, during the difficult times...knowing that a powerful God has control over everything that concerns us. We need to realize that when we make our problems our hiding place; then we will also experience the symptoms of each problem, which only produces feelings like fear and that can make life much more difficult to cope with.
