![]() Good evening everyone! Happy Tuesday night and a big welcome, to the Heart to Heart Blog! I hope that you have had a good day and that we will have a great visit together this evening! Tonight, I thought I would take a little time, to share some heartfelt thoughts with you. As some of you may already know…I haven’t been able to drive a vehicle…I would say, for about 10 years…and now my husband’s health isn’t doing well at times either; so He’s made the big decision, to give up driving too. Just before my husband decided to stop driving…our vehicle broke down and we haven’t been able to drive it, for quite some time now. We decided not to put the money into whatever may be wrong…because we both really aren’t able to drive; so yesterday, we called up a gospel mission in our area…one that my husband is very familiar with and we decided to donate the truck to them. By giving them the truck…they will repair what needs to be repaired and then a less fortunate family will have a greater chance at affording a vehicle of their own, while the money from the sales will go to feeding the hungry in our area. Anyways…this afternoon, they were coming for the pick-up and as I sat near the window of our living room…watching a nice man prepare the truck, to haul it away…memories began to flood my mind and heart…memories of all the dogs we once drove to a field for a walk…memories of trips that were taken between Washington State and Michigan…into Montana and Seattle, etc… Then as I continued to watch the truck being lifted up onto a flatbed, I found myself thanking the truck…and God, for all the years of memories we got to enjoy…and from there, I began to say… “I know you will make another family happy…just like you did us.” Not many people would talk to their pick-up; but I guess it came up, from a very thankful heart. And now…a new chapter begins, for me and my husband, as we face the uncertainties, of what may lie ahead. No matter what we face in life…and no matter how scary life can seem at times; God will always be there to walk us through these unknown moments. My life has been one big book, with many chapters; but one thing about this book…God has always been there, to gently turn the pages and walk me through each chapter. I don’t know when this book will come to an end; but one thing I know…if I made it through the previous chapters of my life; then He will be there, for the chapters that haven’t been written yet. You see…this is how we learn to trust God…and I have seen throughout the years, how each darkened pathway, has always led me into the sunlight, of all that God has longed for me to experience. You know…just because things change in our lives and take us down different paths; that doesn’t mean that God has let go of us…it just means that we have more to learn…and more paths to travel…and when we choose to travel these unknown paths with God…trusting Him all the way; then eventually, we will find that they lead us right into heaven. Well…I really enjoyed our visit tonight…and before I forget, I have a new audio weekly word of encouragement posted on Inspiration for the Heart and if you would like to take a few minutes out of your day, to be inspired; then just click here! Well…time for me to go; but I hope and pray that you will have a great night of rest…surrounded by the loving presence of God! Take care everyone and I will hope to be back with you again tomorrow evening, as I share more thoughts from my day, along with the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart! Blessings so much on your night! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Comments are closed.
