Heart to Heart Blog with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a nice evening and I hope that you had a great weekend too! Today, I am doing much better, after several hours of rest! Isn’t it amazing how rest can heal the body and bring us out of the moments that attempt to take us down?

Well…I don’t know what you did this weekend; but I did take some time on Saturday, to decorate our home, for the greatest birthday party that’s about to take place. My husband and I don’t exchange gifts anymore…or even buy gifts for others, since this isn’t our birthday; but instead, we decorate our living room and even a little in my office and then we have a birthday party on Christmas eve, for the best friend we could ever have…Jesus Christ.

Can you imagine what life would be like right now, if Jesus Christ would have never come into this world? First of all…we would probably be living in bondage, with no hope…and second...we probably wouldn’t even know who Jesus is. I don’t know about you; but I can’t handle a life…especially this life without Jesus Christ!

As we continue our visit tonight, I would like to share something very special with you; that I actually experienced last night, before going to bed. Lately, I have been doing something extra in my day…and what I have been doing; is taking one Bible verse and focusing on it…before going to sleep at night…and actually, I have found that this keeps Satan away from my thoughts because when we think on the things that bring a good report into our lives; then I truly believe that the God of all peace, will enter our thoughts and hearts.

Anyways…last night, I was going to reread a Bible verse in Psalm 112 and before doing so; God began to lead me to another verse in Isaiah 41:10, which reads…”Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” After reading this verse once, I found myself reading it again and as I began to read the words… “I am your God”…a big wow factor came in and I began to feel as though God was truly surrounding me with Himself. Just think, when we truly know God; then He becomes our personal God, which in turn allows Him to strengthen us…help us…and uphold us…wow!

You know…it’s so easy to read Bible verses like these and understand them but to truly get the feel for each word we read; is something completely different. For me, it was as though God had awakened the heart that had been brought down by pain and other problems…to give me a quick reminder, of who He truly longed to be in my life.

Tonight, I can say that this has been a great weekend! I have seen God move and work in different ways in my life…throughout the past couple days. You know…I just love it, when I experience God because these moments are a constant reminder to me; that He is always with me…and this is what I need to feel every day!

Well…I don’t know what you have planned for your evening; but I’m going to go and relax, before another work week begins. I have really had a great visit with you tonight and I hope that you have also enjoyed our time together too! I pray that you will have a great night of rest and that you will have a great start to your week…and most of all experience God! Take care and I will hope to see you again tomorrow evening, as we share the goodness of a great…loving…and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
