Heart to Heart Blog with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Good evening everyone! Welcome back to one of my favorite pages…the “Heart to Heart Blog!” I am so glad that you decided to stop by tonight and spend a little time with me and God! I hope you’ve had a good day…I know I have and I felt God’s presence all throughout my day.

Well dinner is done and now it’s time for Diane to put her tired feet up on a daybed in the office and visit with her readers! It’s been a very busy day…but one of the best!

After recently having our truck break down…today I decided to venture out with my husband and call a taxi, to do our grocery shopping! Even though it was very cold outside…I didn’t seem to care. In fact, I’m sure that my lungs went into shock…after experiencing some fresh oxygen, from the great outdoors.

Anyways…one thing I came to see while I was out today; is how much more time I took, to really care about others around me. You know…when you have your own vehicle, it seems like you just jump in and go; but when you find that you have to wait a short time for your ride, you tend to take in more of your surroundings.

Today, as I stood outside for a bit…after getting my groceries, a man came up to my husband and me and began to talk with us. I could tell that he didn’t have much…but do you know what; he seemed to be the happiest person…just looking for someone who cared enough to listen to him.

As I continued to observe others around me, I saw a lady that truly touched my heart. It appeared as though she was waiting for a ride too…the only difference, was that she was wearing shorts and a short sleeve shirt, in 30 degree weather. After she left, I began to think on all the people we pass by in this world, who are hurting and without Jesus…and my eyes began to instantly open up and see how I have bypassed this so much…just because I’m in a hurry or too busy.

You know…I know that we live in a fast paced world and I know we all live busy lives; but just think on how much we could gain within our own hearts…just by caring about someone else. It seems like the closer we approach Christmas, we tend to get wrapped up in ourselves; but what about the one who is in the hospital…nursing home or even the one who is going thru some overwhelming moments within their home. I know one thing…if Jesus was walking down here on this earth; these would be the people he would reach out to.

Today, as I rode home in the taxi…listening to our driver talk up a storm…I was really thanking God in my heart, for this humble experience. Sometimes, we just don’t always understand why things go so bad in our lives; but I have come to see; that if we could only come to understand God’s reasoning behind the problem; then I’m sure that we would find God’s best, rather than what we see, as the very worst.

After my little adventure today, my heart is truly overflowing…with all that God has shown me today and just think…I would have never experienced these moments today, if it wasn’t for our truck breaking down.

No matter what we experience in life…God has a reason and a purpose, for what we go through; otherwise, He would never allow these difficult moments into our lives…and you know what…this is what makes Him God. Tonight, I just love Him so much; because without Him directing my life, I would have never experienced the day that I experienced today! Thank you Jesus!!

Well…our time is about up for tonight. I hope that you have enjoyed our visit and that you will come back again tomorrow night, as I share the goodness, of a great…loving…and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
