Heart to Heart Blog with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Good evening everyone and welcome tonight, to the Heart to Heart Blog!! I hope that you have had a nice day and just think…we are only a couple days away from Christmas!

Tonight I was going to talk about my day; but I really don’t think that you would be interested in housecleaning, which I did today; so I thought that we would talk about something different…something for Christmas.

I’m sure that you all have heard the story, of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” I know that this story is mainly for kids; but hold on because I have something I want to talk about, after I review this story with you.

First off…there was a mean old Grinch, with this poor little dog. I don’t know about you; but I always felt so…so bad for the dog because the Grinch was always mistreating him. Anyways...back to the story…the ole Grinch began to devise a plan, to destroy all the peoples Christmas in Whoville. Finally, he came up with a plan…a plan where he would take away all their presents and food, for their Christmas celebration, as a means of ruining their Christmas…so he did just that.

The following morning, as he observed the people down below in Whoville; he was looking with anticipation, to see the people either sad or upset, over losing out on their Christmas…but instead of seeing this happen; the people stood in a circle...singing and very happy…because you see…it didn’t take the gifts and food to celebrate Christmas…just a happy heart.

When I think on this story…one thing comes to mind. You know…no matter what we lose out on in life and no matter how tough life can be…no one can take away our God from us and the hope and joy that can help and sustain us during the difficult times. I think sometimes, we just need to remember that God is all we need in life…and if we have Him; then we have a reason to sing and rejoice, even thru the difficult times.

Tonight, as I was coming online and checking out my page on Twitter, I was thinking about all that God has brought me thru. He has brought me thru pain…heartache…and great loss; but thru it all…these are the things that have turned my life around; to the place that no one can ever understand the cost of my praise, to such a worthy God!!

You know…it doesn’t matter what we have or don’t have this Christmas, as long as we have Jesus living in our hearts. No matter what we go thru or have to face in this lifetime; He will be there for us…more than any other person or thing could ever be. We must remember that the materialistic things of this world only bring temporal happiness; but when we truly know Jesus, we can count on His loving care to be there for us, from now…even into eternity. I don’t know about you; but I want what is eternal, over something that is only temporal because the eternal, will keep on giving and always be the greatest gift we could ever have…praise God!!

Well…I hope you enjoyed my little Christmas story and I pray that you truly have found Jesus, to be everything…for everything you need! Before I forget…I am planning on writing Christmas Eve…especially for those who may be alone or could just use the encouragement; but I will be writing several hours earlier and should be posting the blog by 6:00 pm PST…9:00 pm EST. I truly pray that you will have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas to all of you, from the Risen Hope Ministries!
Blessings on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
