Good evening everyone! Welcome tonight, to the Heart to Heart Blog! I am so happy to have you with me tonight and I pray that you had a good day with God!
This evening, I spent a little time on Twitter before coming on here and this is one of the things I posted… “It's been a busy...fast...and strange day, all rolled up into one; but God was in it all and I thank Him tonight, for giving this odd day a happy ending...Praise Him...what a God!”…and what a day it was!
As I started my day, I was up a little earlier than what I usually am; so I took some time…sat out in the living room and had a bowl of cereal with my husband. After visiting for a while, I got around and from there, I decided to call the taxi early; so I could get an early start on my grocery shopping. If some of you don’t know…my husband and I now use a taxi to get around because I can’t drive, due to my legs and my husband’s health doesn’t always allow him to drive either.
Anyways, after calling the taxi service, I knew I had a little while; so I made a phone call and from there, I decided to post the link to my weekly word of encouragement on Twitter…and then from there, I was going to spend a little time with God. Just before doing so, I remembered that I needed to text someone; so as I began to do that…the phone was trying to ring in at the same time. I decided that I better take the call because it could be the taxi service. As I picked up the call…I was right…it was the taxi service and they were calling me to say that they were early…more like a half hour early…and get this…he was waiting out front, while I was still working on the computer. I mentioned to him right away that I was still online and I had a couple things to quickly do…and would he want to wait or come back. He was very nice and said…no problem, I will be waiting. You know what…I never knew that I could get offline so quickly…turn out some lights and gather everything together and head out the door. I probably broke a record this morning, even with two bad legs! I had gotten around so quickly that I began to wonder, as we drove away, if I had left anything behind; but as I went thru the remainder of my morning…to my surprise, I hadn’t forgotten one thing.
You know…it was just one of those mornings, where you wonder if the remainder of the day will keep going this way; but actually, the morning began to turn around for the good and I began to see where God stepped in…knocked Satan out of the picture and began to turn the whole day around in His direction…praise God! In fact, I saved money on the groceries…got a good size discount on something I needed to purchase and I was able to use the money I saved, to help someone in need; that I had talked to earlier this morning…so you see…no matter what Satan starts; God has a way of giving it a good ending…Praise Him for that!
As I look back to last night…I remember asking God to give me the strength to get thru, what can be a difficult time of grocery shopping for me and I also asked Him to keep us safe and to make a way; so the whole day would come together…and that I would even be blessed with my grocery shopping and now as I sit here…I see where He truly remembered that prayer! What a God; that He would care for us, in such a loving way!
You know…I think that sometimes, we become so caught up in what is going wrong; that our thoughts continue to take us down that path to more problems; but when we can get out of the way and give God a chance to work…it’s amazing what He can do…Praise God!
Well…it’s about time for me to go for now…but I sure have enjoyed this time with you this evening! I pray that you will find peace and a relaxing evening, in the arms of a loving God! Take care and I hope to see you again tomorrow night, as I share some thoughts from the day, along with the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings so much on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
