Good evening everyone! Welcome tonight, to the Heart to Heart Blog! I hope you had a nice Tuesday! It’s been a rainy day here…but the sunshine of God’s love has shined all thru my day! There’s nothing like having God in our lives; to brighten up a dark and dreary day…or moment in our lives!
I don’t know about your day; but mine seemed to be pretty busy. I started out in my kitchen this morning, as usual and then I came back into the office, to put together my weekly word of encouragement, on Inspiration for the Heart. In fact, I actually have it posted already for tomorrow; so if you would like to listen to my audio weekly word of encouragement this evening…please feel free to check it out here.
After finishing my recording, for Inspiration for the Heart, it was time for lunch…so I was actually able to take a little break in between all I had to do today…although, I did a little work on the audio podcast, while I ate.
Once lunch was finished, I began to work on a few things, for my Sunday Inspiration page, which I will be posting this weekend. You know it seemed to be a day, where I actually thought I was ahead…that is until more got added to the list of things to do today. Have you ever wondered how that happens? I can actually come out of my office in the morning and think to myself…well Diane, it’s not going to be too bad of a day and then by time the day ends, I think to myself…what happened…lol.
You know…it doesn’t matter what goes on in our day…it’s just good to know that God is always there to help us and give us strength…and even pick up the pieces to something that just may not have gone as expected?
One thing I have come to see over time, while serving God; is that I will always need God to remind me of the things that I tend to forget. I like to look at this, as not only a part of my relationship with God; but I also see it as the greatest opportunity to hear that still small voice within my spirit…that always reminds me that God is close by.
Let me ask you a question tonight…have you ever sat in an empty and quiet room and just opened yourself up to God? You know…it seems like we are either too busy to listen to God or maybe we are talking too much and not listening at all. Either way…we need to listen for the voice of God within our spirits, even if it comes thru a thought that reminds us of something...or even warns us of something that could go wrong.
I remember many times in my life, when I wasn’t feeling good and a thought would come into my thoughts, as though it was a suggestion, as to how to help what was wrong and once I listened and obeyed, I found that it was the answer or remedy I needed at the time.
I don’t know about you; but I need to feel God’s presence and experience that still small voice within my spirit. I find that not only talking with God…but also listening for His response, allows our relationship to grow much deeper, which allows me to feel the depth of His loving presence in my life.
Well…as I sit here in my office…looking out onto a rainy night; I thank God, for all He’s brought me thru and for even shining thru the rain and dismal moments in my day! I hope that you enjoy your evening and that you will experience the peaceful presence of God throughout your night. I will look forward to spending more time with you tomorrow night, as I share another new day with you, along with the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
