Hello everyone! Good evening and welcome tonight, to the Heart to Heart Blog! I am so glad that you decided to come and pay me a visit this evening! So how was your day? I hope everything went well and I pray that you also found God in your day!
My day began with a beautiful sunrise! As I walked into my office, to sit on my daybed and prepare to spend some time with God…the first thing that caught my attention, was a sky all lit up in beautiful pastels, of pink…lavender and peachy colors. For some, they would just say…what a beautiful sunrise; but because of the way the light was glowing thru my window, I just knew that it was the presence of God…coming to spend some time with me this morning.
One thing I can say about my day; is that everything fell right into place…like putting a puzzle together and you know why that happened…because I was seeking God’s direction for my day, rather than trying to put the day together on my own. I have found that when I attempt to make my day work my way; then nothing seems to come together and the things that God had planned for the day; seems to never get put into action, in the way that He so desires.
Well…after spending some great time with God this morning and doing a few things in my kitchen, I went back into the office and decided to work on my audio weekly word of encouragement, which is now posted on the website and ready for tomorrow; but if you would like to listen a little bit earlier…please feel free to do so here, at Inspiration for the Heart!
Once I was finished in my office, I felt God leading me to just take a little break this afternoon, between the podcast and my writing for tonight…and let the body heal a little bit more; so I took a break and had lunch and then I assisted my husband, as we brought some wood inside, for our fireplace. You probably didn’t know this; but it was always my husbands and my dream to live in a log cabin. The only problem was that it didn’t seem to be in God’s plan. You know…I think He already knew that if I lived in a cabin; that I would probably be too busy enjoying the great outdoors, rather than being indoors…doing His work, which is much more important to me. I have come to see that when I stand before God; that He isn’t going to ask about the life I lived in a cabin, but rather the life I lived for Him. The way I see it; is that I may not have the log cabin; but I do have the next best thing to it, which are the logs and the fireplace…lol.
Anyways…I’m once more on a break, as I’m spending this relaxing time with you. It’s so nice to put the feet up…dim the lights and just relax with you and God! In fact, this is one of my favorite times of the day.
Once my break is over; it will be time for dinner, which is a pot of homemade soup that is brewing on the stove and then it will be back to work for me, as I finish my day with God. One thing I can truly say about this day; is that God started the day with me and soon, we will end the day together…how could I ask for more?
Well…I guess my break is over, as God is moving me along into a little work that needs to be finished this evening. I hope that you have enjoyed our time together tonight and I pray that you will have a very restful night…covered in the peace that only comes from the Prince of Peace.
Take care and I hope you will stop by again tomorrow night, as I share my day, along with the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
