Good evening everyone….well it’s time for us to once more spend another evening together at the Heart to Heart Blog! I hope that you have had a nice day…I know I have!
I don’t know why but for some reason, Thursdays have now become my busiest day of the week. Maybe it’s because I have more to do in the kitchen and office. I don’t know; but have you ever heard of the old show…Ma & Pa Kettle? They had 15 kids and towards the end of each week, Ma would be in bed a little longer because she was always tired from her wash day. Can you imagine doing laundry for 15 children, plus her and her husband? I just feel exhausted thinking about it…so sometimes when I’m finished with my Thursday, I’ll mention to my husband that I feel a little like Ma Kettle, after her wash day.
No matter how busy it got today…God was there all the way and thank goodness for that because sometimes my brain can get on overload…or should I say most of the time…lol, which makes me forget some things that need to be done…so it’s always good to hear His still small voice within my spirit…reminding me of the things that need to be accomplished in my day.
As I began my day, I spent time with God and posted a few things on Twitter, which I really enjoy! It’s amazing how God knows right where I should be and who could use a little encouragement…just at the right time. I just love it, when I see God at work in my day! Moments like these keep me inspired and give me a reason to continue what I’m doing for Him!
After I came out of my office this morning, I went into the kitchen and cooked up a storm. You see…I have this plan and other than making me feel a little more tired on Thursday…I actually get to enjoy more of my Friday – Sunday. What I do is cook up extra things on Thursday and put them in the fridge; then when I want a break over the weekend, I just pull out the meals I made on Thursday and pretend I’m having really good take out. Lately, I have been making some homemade flatbread for the weekend and then we take and put light sour cream on them and then we add chicken…onion…tomato and lettuce…and wow are those ever good!
After spending my morning in the kitchen, I had a little lunch with my husband and then it was a full afternoon online. I’m sorry to disappoint you but my new webpage project is taking a little more time; then what I first thought; but I’m hoping to have it finished between now and Monday and once it’s ready to be published online…you will be the first to know. In fact…I am planning on working a little bit tonight…so who knows…I just may get it finished sooner…we’ll see.
No matter how busy the day got and no matter how I have felt with my health and being a little tired…God and I were walking side by side today. I could feel His presence surrounding me and every thought that came to mind, was a reminder that He was close by. You know…I never thought that I’d ever have a relationship with God in this way…and you know what…this kind of a relationship isn’t just for me. God longs so much, for us to relate with Him throughout our day and in this way, we get to know Him more.
I am so thankful to God right now, for all He has brought me thru today! You know…we can find ourselves focusing on everything that went wrong in a day; but I have come to see; that we should be looking at how God brought us thru the day instead. We know that we can’t escape the trying moments that Satan brings our way…but to focus on how God stepped in and safely brought us thru our day, can continue to be the hope we need, for other difficult moments that may arise.
Well…I guess I better get going…there’s more work to be done before bed; so I will see you again tomorrow night! Come and join me for another evening, as I share my day and the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings so much on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
