Good evening everyone! Welcome tonight, to the Heart to Heart Blog! I hope that you had a nice Wednesday! I don’t know about you…but I’m wondering where the week has gone? It seems like it was just Sunday and now we’re about to take the downward climb in our week. You know…no matter what we are experiencing or how we may feel tonight; we can praise God because He has brought us this far in our week, which will only give us hope, for the days that lie ahead of us!
Well…tonight, I’m sitting here in my office…looking out to a rainy night, with curlers in my hair and my feet up, with my newest perfume (deep heat). As you can see…it’s been a very busy day for me; but do you know what? God has been good and that is all that matters!
It doesn’t matter how much pain we experience, when we have God close by…to comfort and sustain us thru the difficult times. It doesn’t matter what may have gone wrong in our day, when there’s a God close by; that will listen to our hearts cry…Praise Him!!
You know…instead of focusing on pain…I’m focusing on a God, who has blessed me in so many ways. I may not have the very best of life…especially with my health; but I have God and so that means that I have everything!
Today, I had to go and get some groceries and like I’ve said before…I tend to observe people around me and today, I saw a lady who was being lowered down from a small bus, for the disabled. As I quietly looked her way, I saw a lady who appeared to be a little crippled and after the lady was lowered in her wheelchair…there she went, into the grocery store. There was no one with her and as I continued to watch…I couldn’t imagine how she was going to get her groceries…but one thing I did notice about her; was that she had a smile on her face and a determination in her spirit. I have to tell you…she was quite the inspiration to me!
You know…people like this may not have a special calling, as in the work that I do and others too; but she was using her wheelchair to be her place of business and her smile and actions became an inspirational testimony, to all that were around her.
It’s so easy at times, to fall prey to our weak moments. We want to just quit sometimes and we can even find it difficult to see any reason, for the moments of suffering we face; but I have come to see how God can use a simple smile, to bring another heart alive and while we are seeing a smile as just something ordinary…who knows; someone else may see it, as a ray of hope into a darkened spirit.
You know…there can be days, when we just don’t know if we can take another step in life…believe me, when I say that I understand this; but I have also come to see that God can override these moments of a dark and dismal spirit…if we are only willing to let Him step in and be the strength that we can’t be for ourselves.
One thing I have come to see in my life…and that is to always try and do the opposite, of what Satan expects from us. In other words, if he is attempting to use a circumstance, to place a wedge between us and God; then get into God’s word and find some positive verses that will remove that wedge, while allowing God’s presence to be felt in a greater way. We may face these tough and difficult battles; but when we can use these moments for God; then the things that Satan attempted to plot against us, will fall powerless to the ground…AMEN!!
Well…a lot has happened today; but as I sit here and think back on my day, I can see where God’s footprints still remain and I know that those same footprints that I walked in today, will once more be there for me, as I begin another new day!
I hope that you have enjoyed this time together…just as much as I have! Please take care…have a great night with God and I will look forward to sharing another new day with you tomorrow night, along with the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings so much on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
