 Good Tuesday evening everyone…and a big welcome to the Heart to Heart Blog! I’m on a roll tonight…you can’t stop me now…and you know why…because I’ve been preparing my kitchen and dining room this afternoon, for new vinyl flooring. After disconnecting the washer and dryer and emptying out most of the place…I get a phone call…and on the other end of the line they say… “Diane…and I said, “Yes.” Then they gave me the news…instead of coming in the morning, to do the work of tearing up old linoleum and putting down new flooring…they won’t be coming until Thursday. Do you know what that is like, for a busy person such as me? Lol! Good thing I was able to switch Wednesday for Thursday…right? Anyways…what a blessing; that our really nice landlords are doing this for Keith and me! They not only decided to put in new flooring; but I got to choose what I wanted, which will be a vinyl flooring that resembles an old wooden floor, which I just love! No matter what has taken place today…nothing can take away the joy, of this special blessing!
Well…despite this busy mixed up week…and a refrigerator that is now in my living room…I was able to do my audio weekly word of encouragement, on Inspiration for the Heart! I actually put this together in two parts…some last night and some early this morning…but it’s done and it’s a beautiful audio story on my life and I really don’t think you will want to miss this one. One thing that may seem different, when you go on the page; is that I had to do the audio player through Sound Cloud because for some reason, fileden.net was not working…so, when you go on the page, just click the on button and enjoy! I’ll tell you…it sure feels good to put my feet up right now…after a very busy afternoon! I thank God that I have my husband to help me and go into overdrive for me, when my legs just don’t want to finish the job! No matter what I face and no matter how challenging it may seem; my God always makes a way for me…and I praise Him so much for that! You know…when I was going through some very, very difficult times in my life, I never realized how important it was to praise God, in the midst of a trial. In fact, when God first brought this to my attention…I thought to myself…this just doesn’t make sense to me. What reason would a person have, to rejoice and praise God for, in the midst of pain or even deep heartache? Then God showed me the importance of praise and how it can actually become a powerful weapon…to weaken the works of Satan. Do we even realize what happens, when we sit around and complain? I’m learning more and more…how moments such as these can actually keep us controlled by evil and the attacks that have already hit us head on. In other words…for each time we complain, we are actually letting Satan know that his plan is working and that his scheme is affecting us and bringing us down…but on the other hand, when we praise God, in the midst of a trying time; then we are doing something that Satan isn’t expecting us to do, which actually weakens him, rather than us. You know…right about now…you are probably wondering what you can praise God for, in the midst of whatever you are facing at this time…and my answer to you, would be to praise God for bringing you to the moments that you are now living…because even though you may not be relieved of your trial…God is carrying you through these difficult times…from one day into the next. The next time, when you feel the urge to look at your situation, in a discouraging way…think about how far God has brought you, in the midst of it all and that will not only give you a reason to praise God; but it will also bring hope back, in a way that says; that even though my trial remains…so does my God! Praise Him! Well…I’ve really enjoyed our time together tonight and I thank and praise God, for all He has done in my life today! I’m no longer dwelling on the painful struggles of my day; but rather, I am focusing on a strong and mighty God, who brought me through those difficult moments in my day! My prayer for you tonight; is that you will truly experience God and all His benefits; that you may rest in His sweet peace throughout the night and be strengthened, for a brand new tomorrow!
