Happy Thursday everyone…and a big welcome today, to the Heart to Heart Blog! To be honest with you…I can’t quite tell what time of the day it is; as my whole schedule is completely turned around! Also…as I’m speaking with you…my husband is out mowing the lawn and I have a person in my kitchen and dining room, doing the prep work, for our brand new flooring. You know what’s nice about all of this? I don’t have to pay a cent for the flooring, as our really nice landlord was very generous, in doing this for us! What a surprise…and definitely, what a blessing!
As I’ve been shut up in my office all morning, it has actually felt good to be off my legs. You should see my office today, as last night; my hutch desk was instantly turned into a buffet counter, for today’s lunch. Earlier, I had crows squawking up a storm…and squirrels singing their own song in the trees. Now, I’m enjoying the sound of a lawn mower close by, with some kind of scraping sound coming from the kitchen. I don’t think that I’ve ever had to write under these conditions before. Oh well…everyone needs a challenge…right?
No matter what kind of a day this turns out to be…there is one thing I do know…God has control! What seems chaotic and overwhelming at times; is truly God’s plan unfolding before my very eyes…so000 I’m telling myself right now…just relax Diane because what seems to be a noisy mess, will eventually turn into some beautiful later.
You know…isn’t it amazing how we allow what we see before us…to actually dictate our thinking…to the place, where we find ourselves convinced that the very worst will happen? I have come to see that if we could only view the day through God’s eyes…and what He is trying to convey to us; then I’m sure that we would probably see a completely different view, of what we are seeing through our own thoughts and our own eyes.
I was mentioning to my husband last night; that one thing I have come to see, through the past few days; is that other home projects and the ministry don’t blend…but at the same time; that is my way of seeing it. Right now, I’m thinking that if we would only view our situations through God’s eyes; then we would probably have a settled back feeling…just knowing that God has everything planned out…to fit right in its rightful place…like a puzzle. I wonder why we are more willing to stress ourselves out, over what seems to be the littlest things in God’s eyes, rather than just trusting Him to do it His way, which is really the best way.
Well…I have a couple hours and all furniture…refrigerator and anything else that’s hiding in the living room, will go back into its rightful place…and get this; the person that’s laying the flooring has offered to help us get the appliances back, to where they belong. That blessing I talked about earlier…in our time together is growing by the minute and I thank God, for all He has done for Keith and me today!
As we close…my prayer for you; is that the rest of your day will be truly filled with peace…the peace that only comes from the Prince of Peace…and that your Friday will be truly blessed from above! Take care and I will hope to be back with you again tomorrow evening, for more thoughts from the day, along with the goodness of a great, loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings so much on your evening!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
