Hello everyone! Happy Thursday night and a big…big welcome to the Heart to Heart Blog! I am so happy that you came to spend some time with me this evening and I’m praying right now; that God’s presence will truly enter this time!
Well I don’t know how your day was; but all I can say; is that I think that my brain just caught up with me, after a very busy day. Before coming back online, I decided to get around for the evening, so I could relax and while I was getting around, I was thanking God, for letting His mind be mine…because all day, He was reminding me of what needed to be done and I KNOW that I could have NEVER remembered everything I did today, if it wouldn’t have been for God!
I’ll tell you…it sure feels good to sit here, in some comfortable clothes this evening and relax...and get this…no deep heat tonight. I can actually say that my pain levels have come down this afternoon and this evening and I’m praying that they will continue in this way.
You know…the other day, I was listening to a song and it was saying that we could never experience God’s presence at work in our lives, if it wasn’t first, for the pain we experience or the weaknesses we experience in our lives…and that is so true! In 2 Corinthians 12:9b, we read… “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.” When I first read this verse…which has now become one of my life verses…I thought to myself…how amazing! At the time, when we feel the worst…God’s powerful hand is actually upon us...and I don’t know about you…but that is just awesome and amazing to me!
Ok…now that I’m relaxed…let me see what was accomplished today. I know one thing for sure…I finished my writing for this week’s Sunday Inspiration…and boy, is this ever a good God inspired writing! If you are going through a time in your life, when you find yourself always living up to other people’s standards or if you find that you are always trying to make life work on your own; then you won’t want to miss out on this week’s Sunday Inspiration. I will be updating the page tomorrow night; but you might want to check it out on Saturday, unless you live on the west coast, like I do.
Other than my writing today…it’s been a mixed bag of everything…and oh, I tried something new in my kitchen. I invented this brand new hot sandwich for the weekend and I’ll have to let you know how it all came out later…and if we’re still alive…lol. Anyways, I invented a Chicken Parmesan Flatbread Sandwich. As you can see…God not only blesses me in my writings and graphic quotes; but in the kitchen too.
As for the sandwich, you can either buy or make some flatbread. I love to make mine; but you can do whatever is easiest for you. From there, I take either one large or 2 regular size chicken breast and cut them into small chunks; then I take a bowl and make a breading out of ½ cup of Italian bread crumbs, 1t.Basil, and 1 t. of powdered garlic, salt & pepper and a ½ cup of parmesan cheese. After mixing this together, I put the chicken chunks in the breading and stir gently with a fork. Then I take about ½ cup of canola oil and put it in a frying pan and when it’s heated, I dump the chicken mixture into the oil and cook until done…and then I place the chicken pieces on paper towel or napkins to drain. To finish the sandwiches…take a piece of flatbread and spread the whole thing with pizza or spaghetti sauce and then put some of the chicken chucks on half of the flatbread; then put a little more sauce on top and then lay a slice of Provolone cheese on top of that…fold it in half and wrap in foil and warm in oven, until the cheese is melted. Whew…never thought I was going to be writing out a recipe tonight. Anyways…I’m really anxious to see how these sandwiches turn out Saturday! Also…you can make up the chicken in advance, like I did today and place it in the fridge, for later. Also…make up the amount of breaded chicken; that will work for your family…and just double the breading mix, if you need to do so. Anyways…here’s your recipe for the week…enjoy!
Well…it’s about time for me to say good-bye, as I need to have dinner and finish up a little work this evening. I sure have enjoyed our visit tonight and I pray that you will have a great evening…surrounded by a God, who loves you so very much! Take care and I will hope to see you again tomorrow night, as I share some thoughts from my day, along with the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
