Heart to Heart Blog with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Hello everyone! Happy Sunday night and a big welcome to the Heart to Heart Blog! I am so happy to be back with you this evening…and I hope that you have had a great weekend!

For me…this weekend has been a mixed bag of everything! I guess I can call this weekend, my catch up weekend. Let’s see…I started out by doing something in my office; that I had been thinking about, for a few days now, which was to change a few things on my office wall…the wall that faces me, while I spend time with God and write.

Anyways…on the wall in my office, I had previously had some awards…a picture from a book signing and a thank you certificate, for doing a speech at the Rest Ministries. It seemed like the more and more I would view these things on my wall…the more, I felt as if I was taking the praise and glory away from God…so with God’s help, I began to think on how this could be changed around.

First off…if you could see this wall; you would see how each photo on the wall encourages me and inspires me…but most of all connects me to God, which I truly need while I write and spend time with Him!

After feeling the need to take these awards down and devote this wall completely to God; I got alone with God on Friday evening…before going to bed…and as I sat in my office…just me and God; I began to ask Him, as to what I could do; to give everything back to Him and make this wall His wall, instead of mine. By Saturday morning, an idea began to fill my mind and by the afternoon, I was making new photo copies of some of the graphic quotes that He had blessed my heart with…to share with others online. Now, I have a beautiful wall…filled with pictures; that are filled with words of encouragement; that truly comes from God’s heart to mine.

One thing I have truly come to see throughout this ministry; is that I am nothing…and God is everything…and when we get ourselves in the way of God; then we block out the view of God… to the one, who is truly in need of Him!

After working on my office wall and doing a few things around the house, I spent some time alone with God…later in my evening and one of the verses He took me to; is found in Isaiah 40:31, which reads… “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” I know that we are all familiar with this verse; but as I began to take each piece of this verse apart…God began to truly open up it’s meaning to me and teach me something new.

One thing we already know; is that our weaknesses have a way of draining us of our strength. In fact…they tend to wear us down to nothing at times. As we sit there in the midst of the weakness…the feeling of no hope begins to enter our thoughts, as we wonder if we will ever experience something new again.

The one thing that truly caught my eye, from this verse the other night; is that we should wait on God for strength, rather than trying to make our own so-called strength and stand on our own…knowing that we don’t have to remain in our weakness…or make life work on our own; but rather, we can be lifted up and out of the muck and mire, of these moments of despair, by a strength that can become even greater; then the strength of eagles wings…wow!

We need to remember one thing today…our own so-called man made strength will only take us, as far as we anticipate it to take us, which is normally not very far; but when we choose to let go of weakness and everything of ourselves; that is when we truly experience a strength that we can run on and never grow weary or ever be brought down to weakness again…because God’s strength will ALWAYS keep us lifted above despair and it will always be a never ending strength…Amen!

Well…I hope you enjoyed this word of encouragement…something that will help you, as you begin this brand new week! I truly pray that you will have a great night of rest and that you will be filled in the morning, with the strength of a God, whose strength can take you beyond anything that may enter your path!

Have a great night everyone and I will hope to see you again tomorrow evening, as I share more thoughts from my day…along with the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings so much on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
