Heart to Heart Blog with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Good evening everyone! Happy Sunday night and a big welcome to the Heart to Heart Blog! First, may I say that I hope that you all had a very nice weekend and that you are refreshed and ready for another new week with God!

Last night, as I was preparing to go to bed…I was sitting there texting someone and I noticed that the lights were going out, at the house behind us, which is really rare because they are always up much later than me on the weekends. Anyways…I finished my text…spent some time with God and then I was off to sleep…and never gave it another thought.

I would say about 4:30 in the morning, I got up to take some medicine and turn the heat up a little and as I laid back down…I’m thinking to myself…I still have about 2 hours of sleep; so I curled up in my pillow and aimed for another couple hours of rest.

After finally getting back to sleep…I was suddenly awakened by the alarm clock, which is my phone alarm. I sat straight up in bed and thought to myself…that was a quick two hours and it’s still dark outside. As I looked at the clock on the wall, it showed that the time was only 5:20. After thinking about this for a few minutes…I thought to myself…I bet the time changed; so I turned the computer on in my office and sure enough…the time had changed.

You know…it was only about a week ago; that I checked Google, to see when the time was supposed to jump ahead an hour and I was informed that it would be another week yet; so I guess that I wasn’t the only one who had a surprise this morning…and now, I also know why my neighbors went to bed earlier….lol. All I can say; is thank God for a phone that changes the time on its own; otherwise I would have slept through a phone call that I needed to make this morning…along with other things that needed to be done.

You know…this morning may have been a crazy morning…but to me, it was a sample of how God truly cares for His children. When we just can’t seem to put all the pieces of our lives, in the right order; God steps in and seems to fill in the gaps that are forgotten…and I thank Him so00 much for that!

As we prepare for another new week ahead…the thought I would like to leave with you tonight; is that God knows everything about you. He knows where you’re going and what you need to do…throughout every day of this week; so trust Him to fill in the gaps for you!

There is a verse in I Peter 5:7 that reads…“ Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.” Just think…every minute of every day; God’s eyes are upon us. He knows when life is going well and He rejoices with us, during those moments…and He also knows our weaknesses and is more than capable of exchanging those weaknesses, with a powerful strength…His strength. I truly believe that when we take God with us throughout the week; that He will not only be there to watch over everything that concerns us; but He will always be there to pick up the broken pieces; that can be left behind, while facing difficult times.

May I encourage you tonight, to let go of everything except for God. Let Him be everything, in this week ahead…and I know that when we do this; that He will always be there to assist us and lead us away, from the moments that can be set up as a trap by evil, to take us down for good.

Well…it’s been a good night of sharing God’s goodness with you! I pray that as we all begin this brand new week; that we will get up from our beds in the morning…take God by the hand and walk in the footsteps that He has laid out for us to walk in.

May your night be truly filled with the loving and peaceful presence of God and I hope that you will come back and join me again tomorrow night, as I share thoughts from my day, along with the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings on your night…and this brand new week!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
