Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday evening and a big welcome tonight, to the Heart to Heart Blog! I pray that your day was a good one and I just want you to know that I am so glad that you stopped by for a visit this evening!
As I began my day…it was time to go grocery shopping again and what a morning it was! Some of you may already know that my husband and I are unable to drive…so it was time to call the taxi service and see who would be driving us to the grocery store today.
After getting around this morning, I came into my office and made the call…to set up a ride, for around 9:00am…and after the phone rang a couple times; a nice man answered the phone and was very polite and even at the end of the call, wished me a nice morning.
Once everything was set up, for our taxi ride…and I was off the phone, it was time to go on Twitter and spend some quiet moments with God. I would say that I had been on there, for about a half hour and the phone began to ring, on my side table. This nice man from the taxi service had called me back to say that he wasn’t overly busy at the time and if we’d like to go a little earlier to the store; that he was close by. Since I was pretty much done with my time with God and what I was doing on Twitter, I said… “Sure, that would be fine” and in return he said…“Ok…I’ll just wait here in your driveway.” Lol! By time my husband and I had hit the front porch; he was out there…opening doors and greeting us, with a big smile on his face. I thought to myself…is this a taxi driver?
The whole trip to the store went really well and I was able to find everything I needed…so now it was time to call and get a ride; so I could get home and get back online. After talking with this nice man again, I was told that it would only be around 15 minutes; so Keith and I walked outside, to get some fresh air and visit, while we were waiting. It seemed like that 15 minutes went fast…but yet…still no taxi driver. Finally, after some time had passed, I gave him a call and come to find out…he had been delayed that morning, due to a flat tire.
As I finished waiting with Keith, for the taxi to show up; I was thinking on the morning and how God was in it all! Just think…if that taxi driver would have picked us up at 9:00am…we could have possibly experienced that flat tire with him…or something even worse. You know…we never know why God changes the plans we make; but the way I see it…is that He is always watching over everything that concerns us.
In I Peter 5:7 we read… “Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.” What a comfort to know; that when we can’t see what’s ahead of us…God can. I don’t know about you…but I’m so glad that God is looking out for my best interest…and this little story tonight can be a reminder to us all; that we should never make anything work on our own; because there may be a reason behind it…something that only God can see.
Well…thanks to God, we got home safely and this nice man even helped us with our groceries and apologized for the delay…and in return, I gave him a nice tip, which probably brightened his day…and as we parted, I wished him a good day and then he said…“It can’t get any worse…only better”…and I said...“For sure!”
One thing I was saying to my husband later that day; was how God always allows us to help others, through our own need. Wow…what a God; that He would plan everything out, for the good of us all!
Well…I hope you enjoyed hearing about my day! I just love to watch God at work in my life and this was one day; that I truly felt His presence! Anyways…I hope you had a good day too and my prayer for you; is that your night will be filled with the loving presence…of a God, who longs to be everything…for everything you need! Please take care…have a great Thursday and I will hope to be back with you again tomorrow evening, as I share thoughts from my day, along with the goodness of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings so much on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
