Good Thursday evening everyone…and a big welcome, to the Heart to Heart Blog! As you can see, I’m early again…due to much work and little time. Actually, I love working in the evening because it’s a quiet time, where I put on relaxing hymns and just let God lead the way. I’ll tell you…I couldn’t have a better boss; then my friend, Jesus Christ!
Before we begin tonight, I would like to let you know that I have completed “Diane’s Audio Testimony” page…and what a beautiful page it is! On the page, you will not only be able to listen to my testimony; but you will also be able to see a picture of me…just after my first of 21 knee surgeries. Also, I have some beautiful Bible verse graphics, with verses that have truly been of help to me, while walking through some very difficult times of pain and heartache. To visit “Diane’s Audio Testimony” page, just click here! I pray that it will bless your heart and even encourage you…with what you may be going through at this time.
Also…this afternoon, I spent a couple hours writing for Sunday Inspiration, which will be posted tomorrow night. The title for this week’s writing is “A Merciful Scar.” You know…it’s amazing how we find it so easy to focus on everything that’s wrong; but what about the times, when God was truly there, to mend and seal the wounds from within? I have truly enjoyed this writing today and I pray that it will touch your heart, as it did mine. Like I said…Sunday Inspiration will be updated tomorrow night and if you’re going to be up late; then please feel free to check it out. If not…then you can definitely view this updated page on Saturday. If you’re not familiar with Sunday Inspiration and where you can find it…just look near the top of any webpage and you will find Sunday Inspiration, under the tab, titled… “God Inspired Writings.”
You know…this morning, as I was posting on Twitter, I was thinking back to a posting that I had viewed the other day and it talked about how exciting heaven will be. As I was thinking on this today, while I was working…I thought to myself…are we really excited about heaven or have we become so caught up in this world; that heaven has become a distant thought? Can we say that we are truly anticipating the day, when we meet Jesus face to face?
When I first started writing, I wrote a poem titled… “Meeting an Old Friend for the First Time” and I would like to share my feelings with you on heaven, through this beautiful poem tonight… “I remember the days when I would sing to You, my loneliness would soon go away; or just to tell you all my feelings, helped to lift my heavy load and make a better day. I knew You were always with me, when I would cry to You in pain; that’s especially when I felt Your loving arms around me…letting me know that You were restoring me back again. And when I saw the little things that You would always do; it became a reminder that You loved me, and I loved You too. And now when we meet, for the very first time…Your face I will finally see; I will meet the One who was always my friend and what a great time that will be. As I approach you Lord, my lifetime friend, I realize I have no pain; I also feel the loneliness leave, as a new strength I begin to gain. Your arms I felt around me, are now very real; Your touch that drew me to Your side, I can once more feel. My friend, as You reach for my hand, I can’t describe what I’m feeling, as we begin to walk; sweet and gentle words keep surrounding me, as I listen to you talk. And now, as You lead me to a beautiful place, I think back to the things You always would do; and now You want us to be friends forever, in this home You’ve built brand new. Happy tears begin to flow…realizing the pain and loneliness we shared, would never more be; I then turned to my friend, with a great big smile, and said… “I love You, Jesus…thanks for choosing me!”
You know…we should never make heaven a place of escape; but rather, we should truly long to spend eternity, with the One, who was always there for us, while residing on this earth. Yes…I look forward to heaven; so I don’t have to suffer with pain anymore. In fact, I’m sure we all long for this kind of life; but most of all…I want to meet the One, who never abandoned me in life; but rather, walked beyond every fault to love and care for me. That’s why I say…Jesus is the best friend we could ever have…what love!!
Well…I hope you enjoyed our very special talk tonight on heaven and that the poem will bring peace to your heart this evening! I pray that your night will be truly filled, with the loving and caring spirit…of a God, who loves you very much! Take care…have a great start to your Friday and I will hope to be back here again tomorrow night…to share thoughts from the day…and most of all, the goodness of a great, loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings so much on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
