Good Sunday evening everyone! I am so happy to have you with me tonight at the Heart to Heart Blog! What a great day it has been for me, as I have spent time with God and also some special time alone…to rest and let God refresh me and renew me, for another new week!
You know…we can experience times in our lives, when we feel as if each week becomes the same, which can only make life feel a little monotonous…especially if we are going thru a trying time in our lives. I don’t know about you; but if I have been ill or in a lot of pain; then life can sometimes become a drudgery and almost feel as if entering a new week can be exhausting…just in thought alone.
Last night, as I was reading a verse or two before bed; I was reading one verse that really caught my eye, which is found in Isaiah 26:3, which reads… “He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord!” As I was relaxing and mulling this Bible verse over in my mind; this is what came out of those moments… “When our thoughts turn often to God; then there is no need for worry because our thoughts are away from the problem.”
One thing I have come to see in my life; is that God only designed our brains…in a way where we are only able to think on one thing at a time; so if our minds are deeply embedded within the problem; then of course…there will be no room for God, to enter and help us, during those difficult times…but if we choose to turn our thoughts away from the problem and focus on God alone; in a way that allows our thoughts to always be on Him; then there won’t be any room for the problem to enter and take over our lives.
A while ago, I was sharing with my husband; that I would rather study one or two Bible verses at a time because I have found that we can easily bypass the important things within these verses; that can truly help us and sustain us through the difficult times.
While going through a lot of pain and deep heartache in my life, I made my Bible my survival manual. I not only read the verses, within each page; but I dissected the verses and looked below the surface of each word and sentence…and that is where I truly came to find the hope that I was searching for at the time.
You know…God has truly shown me over the past years; that there are hidden treasures below each verse in His word and only those who dive deep within each verse, will find the hidden truths that can truly keep us free and closely connected to God.
Today…if you are going through a lot of challenges and struggles in your life, may I recommend one thing? Take God’s word and go deep within each page and ask God to reveal the hidden truths you need; that can help you to not only find hope…but freedom…through whatever you may be facing at this time.
You know…it’s good to sit down and read God’s word; but I have found that when we let God lead us through His word; then He will walk us through the paths of scripture that can truly help us…and one thing I guarantee…we will never be the same again…because we have not only found hope but we have experienced a time with God that can truly reveal His loving care for us.
As we prepare to begin another new week, I pray that we will allow God to keep hope alive within us, through His word. Let God’s word become your survival manual, as you walk through each day, of this brand new week!
As we close our time together this evening, I pray that you will have a relaxing evening…surrounded by the presence, of a loving and caring God and that you will truly experience His best, as we soon begin another new week! Take care and I will hope to be back with you again tomorrow evening, as I share more thoughts from the day, along with the goodness of a great, loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings so much on your night…and this brand new week!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
