Hello everyone...I'm back and I can truly say that this has been a great day! I hope that your day has been just as nice and that you have truly felt the presence of God in your day!
Well...my morning began at 6:20! You know...I can never figure out why the night goes so fast. Seems like I just close my eyes and it's time to open them up again. I had someone try to convince me the other day that we actually get more rest, with the days being shorter now for winter; but I don't think that I'm quite convinced of that yet.
Anyways...after spending some quiet moments alone with God this morning, I went into my kitchen, to prep dinner for the evening. You see...I take about an hour every morning and prep things for the evening, so when I'm tired at night, I can go into my kitchen and heat up, what I pretend to be very good take out. This is definitely one of the benefits of a home office!
After I finished in the kitchen, it was time to work on my weekly podcast, which I will be posting later this evening...for tomorrow. While we are on the subject...if you would like to check out this weeks podcast, which is actually my weekly word of encouragement; then you can visit "Inspiration for the Heart Podcast," which will actually be available either later tonight or definitely into Wednesday.
Anyways...as I continued to walk throughout my day, I could truly feel the presence of God bringing peace into each moment. You know...when a person is truly in sync with God, everything just flows and comes together so easily. In fact, my day came together so well; that I was actually able to go outside and enjoy a little autumn weather, which is my favorite! As I helped my husband rake up piles of leaves, these moments truly took me back to a time, when I actually first fell in love with the season of autumn. As a young girl, I remember walking across a field, to the end of the woods, with an apple in my hand and as I took each bite, the flavor of the apple...along with some cool fresh air, made the season come alive all around me.
Later, as I reached the edge of the woods, I stood there...looking around, at all the colors of autumn and within a short time a gust of wind began to swirl leaves all around me, with colors of barn red...pear yellow and pumpkin orange. As I stood that day, in a shower of leaves; these became the moments, when I first fell in love with the season of autumn.
You know...one thing God has always encouraged my heart with...is how He uses the different seasons of our lives, to bring about better things. Even though we may experience the dormant moments of a circumstance; a new season soon comes, when new growth begins to appear and from there, life springs alive, as God begins to prepare us for new and better things to come.
I think that if we could just look around us and take in the beauty of what God is trying to show us; that we would no longer find our sight stuck on the things that long to weigh us down in life. Just as I experienced the beauty of autumn, as a young girl...for the very first time; I know that there is so much more that God longs for all of us to experience...if we would only look through His eyes, rather than our own.
Well...it's time for me to post a podcast...one that I'm sure you are waiting to check out. I hope you have a great night of rest and that your Wednesday will be a good one! Take care and I will talk with you soon!
Blessings on your night!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
