Good evening everyone! I hope you had a very nice Thanksgiving! My husband and I had a great day together and I truly praise God, for His many blessings on this day!
Last night, as I finished up my busy day, it ended up being a late night for me; so I was trying to figure out when to get up in the morning and prepare the turkey for the oven, since Keith and I wanted to have our dinner in the early afternoon. I also had wanted to talk with someone on the phone and find some time, to spend alone, with my husband and God. Finally...after trying to get my brain waves going...I decided that I would set my alarm for 6:00am.
After falling asleep, I found myself awake at around 5:15 am and as I was laying on the bed, I began to feel the need to get up and get started...so I did. My husband was also awake; so we ended up getting around earlier and then we headed for the kitchen, to prep the Thanksgiving turkey.
I was amazed to see how every little thing was falling into place! In fact, the morning seemed to go even better; then I've ever seen it happen before and my husband even made a comment, as to how fast everything got done....and I even got some extra time in with God.
Anyways...later, I was relaxing and thinking about the day and I came to see how God always seems to know what will work out the best for us. His ways are so much higher than ours and He can see way beyond the moments that we are viewing at the time and I truly believe that He knows the right timing...so everything will come together in such a perfect way.
Let me ask you a question tonight. Have you ever felt as if something deep within you, was trying to convince you to do something a certain way...and maybe even at a different time? If so...that was probably God...probing at you, to do something His way, rather than the way you had it planned out.
This evening...before writing you, I was once more thinking back to yesterday, when our truck wouldn't start and I began to see how God had everything under control. Just think...we could've gotten stranded, with a broken down truck that was full of groceries. I don't know about you but if the truck is going to break down, I'd rather have it happen in the garage or driveway.
You know...God has reasons, for everything He allows within our lives and if we could just look beyond what is going wrong...to see how God is in it all; then I think that we would see our problems much differently.
Anyways...as you can see, I had a great Thanksgiving but it was even more special because God had stepped in, to be a part of my day...in the very early morning hours. One thing I've learned...God's ways don't always come at a convenient time, so we need to look and listen, for His loving presence through out each day. After all...our lives aren't run by ourselves; but by the One who lives within us.
Well...I'm going to go and enjoy the rest of my day off. I hope you have a very nice evening and a great Friday! Come back tomorrow night and let's share the goodness of a great God...heart to heart!
Blessings on your night!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
