Hello everyone! Happy Monday and welcome today, to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so happy that you chose to join me today and my prayer; is that we will truly experience God, as we spend these precious moments together with Him!
Let me ask a question as we begin today. How are we reacting to a circumstance? Are we trying to fight it on our own or are we giving into it…thinking that it will just go away on its own? First of all, we need to realize that a circumstance isn’t just something bad that enters our lives; but rather, it’s something that Satan longs to use against us, to keep us distant from God and even life itself.
One thing that I have observed, while facing very difficult times in my life; is that Satan will not only wound us with a circumstance; but he will also work to keep that wound open…as a means of wearing us down…so we are more likely to give up. We need to realize today; that when we choose to rationalize our problems and attempt to figure out a cure for the problem on our own; then Satan is going to be right there…giving us the answers that will only keep the wound open.
You know…we can become so caught up in ourselves and what is going on around us; that we also become caught up in where Satan is attempting to lead us through the circumstance. We need to realize that Satan is not only longing to wound us with an affliction; but his mission is to take us down for good; so if we are only listening to ourselves and we’re not open to God; then Satan will work through those moments. In other words…as we become caught up in ourselves and what is happening to us; these moments become like fuel; that’s being added to a fire that Satan has already started within us.
Now is the time to shut Satan down for good and allow his abuse to come to an end and the only way we can make him powerless in our lives; is to quit focusing on ourselves and the problem and start looking to a God, who can walk us away from these deceptive moments.
You know…one thing that I have never figured out in my life; is how we can invite a powerful God to live within us; but yet we choose to follow after a weak circumstance. How is it that we allow Satan to have such control over our lives? For one reason…maybe we have never been strong enough in the Lord. We all know that Satan preys on weakness; so maybe it’s time for us to take the moments that Satan is abusing us with…hand them over to God and allow Him to use this abuse for our good. In this way, we will not only be allowing God to stop the forces of evil in our lives; but we will also be made stronger, which will help us for other difficult circumstances that may attempt to enter our lives.
We must remember one thing today…whatever Satan thinks he can defeat us with; is actually one more thing that God can use to strengthen us with. God always seems to find a way to use the weaknesses in our lives, to make us stronger; so hand your weaknesses over to Him today and let Him create something new and lasting within you…something that will turn the abuse, into something that can truly be used for Him!
Blessings on your day!
