Are you being knocked down over and over by Satan?

Moments Spent with God with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Hello everyone! Happy Thursday and welcome to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad that you are here today and my prayer for you; is that you will truly experience a powerful and loving God while you’re here…a God who longs so much to be your everything…through every little thing you face in life!

As I have been facing a lot lately within my own life; one thing I have observed and that is how Satan works harder and harder to weaken us…to the place, where he can have full control. Have you ever had moments in your life, when you went through a very trying time; but then you got back up and continued to press on…only to be knocked down again…and again…and again? Well…Satan seems to know just the right moments of weakness to feast on and it seems as though once he takes hold of that weakness; then he continues to work that much harder to keep bringing us further and further down.

The question we need to ask ourselves today; is how do we stop this from happening? One thing God is placing on my mind right now; is to first keep our thoughts away from the weaknesses that can make us a prey to evil. You see…Satan is not only looking for a form of weakness to prey on; but he’s also looking to see how we react to those forms of weakness. If he can find a person, who is complaining and focusing on how bad life is; then he will do his best to trap them within those moments; so he can attempt to take over and have full control.

The second thing that I believe that will help us to no longer be a puppet on a string, in the hands of evil; is to focus on the things that will strengthen us and keep us above the weakness; where it will be that much harder for Satan to have control. I find that having a personal talk with God and laying everything before Him helps me because as we are laying our every thought and feeling before Him; then we are also bringing our weaknesses into the light, where they are no longer hidden in the darkness. Once our weaknesses are brought into the light; then we know that this alone will make it that much harder for Satan to work, as darkness cannot thrive in the light of God’s presence.

Another thing that will keep us strengthened and distant from Satan; is to focus on God’s word or other God inspired writings that will keep us encouraged; because when we are lifted up in this way; then the truth through God’s word alone, will always keep us free and distant, from the traps laid out by Satan.

We all have moments that seem to take us down…after all, we live in an imperfect world…a world, where Satan is attempting to have full control; so we need to learn how to keep our thoughts away from the weak moments that could possibly give Satan more power to weaken us further and instead…allow a perfect strength to step in and keep us suspended above these weaknesses…where the power of evil can no longer control us.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
