Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday! Welcome today, to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that your day has been going well and that you will truly come to see God, as a loving friend that can be a close companion throughout each day of your week!
You know…our daily struggles have a way of taking us to a place, where we lose hope in ever seeing anything happen for the good. We can become so focused on what we are going through at the moment; that we forget what is ahead of us…or what is awaiting us. It seems as though we become so tightly fixed on these difficult times; that before we know it, we have created a world of our own…a world that doesn’t seem to allow us to see beyond the pain.
In Job 17:15-16, it says… “Where then is my hope? Who can see any hope for me? (16) Will it go down to the gates of death? Will we descend together into the dust?” In these verses, Job was losing hope, of anything ever going right in his life. All he could seem to view before him were the deep moments of affliction.
We need to remember that our hope is not only found in this present life but especially in the life to come. For those who are faithful to God and have come to make Him their personal Lord and Savior, there will come a time, when all suffering and heartache will cease no more. When we enter heaven…Satan will never be able to pass through heavens doors and this is a piece of hope that we can cling to, while experiencing overwhelming moments of despair. The tears we shed here on earth will no longer be, for Christ will wipe the last tear of pain and heartache from our eyes, as we walk through heaven’s gates.
Through my own past moments of pain and heartache, I have found that we become too focused on the symptoms of our problems. We tend to allow them to dictate our thoughts and control our hearts and when we allow this to happen; then that is when the light of hope begins to fade from us.
The trying moments we experience should teach us to turn to a God that can become a father and close friend. When we leave the problem behind, to enter into the arms of a loving God; then hope will continue to be there for us…but our focus must leave the circumstance, to reflect on God’s word, and the positive things that will keep hope alive within us. Pain and deep heartache have a way of controlling our thoughts and hearts but when we are deeply rooted in God, then we will run to our father and close friend, rather than attempting to face a battle head on, that we can never win on our own.
Blessings on your day…
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
