Moments Spent with God with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Hello everyone! Welcome to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I truly hope and pray that your day is going well and that you will find God to be so much greater than any weak circumstance…that you may be going through right now!

On Saturday evenings, I like to spend some very special time alone with God. I usually talk with Him throughout my day; but I like to use this time on Saturday, as a time of renewal and a time to draw even closer to Him.

This past week, while I was pouring my heart out to God, over some things that had been weighing heavily upon my mind and heart; I began to reach for a tablet of paper and from there; I began to write words that came from His heart to mine. I was so touched, from those precious moments that we had spent together; that I took the words and placed them in a clear plastic frame and hung them on my curtain rod, so I could see them every day. Now they hang there, as little reminders, of what can keep my heart at peace with God.

You know…I wonder what life would be like for all of us; if we would only take some time away from the hustle and bustle of life, to connect with a God, who could love us and bring peace to us…especially during the troubled times. I still haven’t been able to figure out, why we want to walk through such overwhelming and difficult moments alone, when there is a God, who will speak peace to us and take the heaviest burden from us and make the load lighter.

As I look back on my life, I remember many times, when I would try to muddle through each difficult moment alone. If only I would’ve turned to God…then life would have probably been much easier and there would have never been any moments of needless suffering.

One thing I can say about my life now; is that I am content and I have true peace. I know that when there is a need in my life; that all I need to do is get alone with God and have a good talk with Him. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t bow our heads and pray; but I have found that sitting in my office…alone with God, can bring so much peace, while giving me the assurance that everything is going to be alright.

Through all the difficult times that I have walked through in my life…they have only pointed me, in a direction that truly connects me with God. You know…it’s so easy to speak words but we must realize that words won’t take us anywhere, unless those words are headed in God’s direction.

Please realize today that it doesn’t take any special gift, to connect with God and hear His voice within your spirit. All you need to do is empty yourself, of everything that pertains to yourself and then lay out the welcome mat to your heart and God will gladly walk through the door of your heart and commune with you.

No matter what you may be walking through right now…share these moments with a God, who will listen to you and work with the need of your heart…and when all is said and done, I’m sure that you will not only discover a true and lasting peace; but I truly believe that you will find the best friend that you could ever have!
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
