Hello everyone! Happy Friday…and welcome today, to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that your day will be a good one…filled with the loving and powerful presence…of a God, who longs to love and care for you…especially while facing the most challenging moments of life!
Night before last, I had a very unusual dream…and it happened, just before my alarm went off the next morning. In this dream, I was sitting on a couch and I was talking with some people across from me and while I was talking to them, I was trying to find a verse in the Bible. As I kept flipping through the pages of my Bible, I began to hear a beeping sound and before I knew it, I was waking up to my alarm. What was really different; is that I woke up, with Romans 12:2 on my mind. One thing I can say for sure…I’ve never experienced a dream like that before!
Anyways…after waking up, I was starting to get around and God seemed to make it evident; that this is what I would be writing on today; so let’s look up Romans 12:2, which reads…“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
There is one thing that has truly put me to the test this week and that is to be able to focus on the right thoughts, during the most difficult times. One thing we truly need to remember as Christians; is that we need to leave the old mind and the old way of thinking behind and allow God to renew our minds; so that we can be able to see the good things…even through the worst of days.
I think that if we were to agree on one thing; that would be that it’s not always easy to have a positive attitude, while experiencing a negative moment; but you know…it’s amazing how a positive thought can actually make that bad moment not seem as bad, as what we first saw it.
If we are ever going to see how God can carry us through these difficult times; then first, we need to be in alignment with Him and be of Him…not against Him…and the only way He has shown me how to do that; is to stop…take a deep breath and focus on who God really is; so in the end, we find ourselves conformed to His ways, instead of being conformed to a worldly way of handling our problems.
Just think…when we allow God to transform our thinking after His; can you imagine what life would be like? I believe that we would not only begin to see the good through the bad; but I also believe that by living in this way, we will find ourselves acceptable to God, as He continues to work through our thoughts and our hearts; as a means of leading us closer and closer, to the true plan and purpose He has for our lives. You know…if our minds are not in tune with God; then how will we ever discover His best for our lives? This is truly something to think on!
Today, you may feel lost within the problems you’re facing…with your thoughts taking you everywhere; but to where God is. May I encourage you to lay aside your own thoughts and ideas; so God can transform and renew your mind…so that you are only plugged into His thoughts and ideas for your life? I truly believe that once we allow His thoughts to become our thoughts; then this will become the time, when we discover that life can be much easier…even through the toughest times!
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
