Hello everyone! Happy Thursday and a big welcome today, to Moments Spent with God…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that you are enjoying this day that God has blessed us with and my prayer for you; is that you will experience the powerful presence of God, as you walk with Him throughout this day!
Have you ever felt as though Satan was working against you…to separate you from the love of God? I remember a time in my life, when I had just come out of a series of surgeries and I was recovering in a bed in our living room. Even though I was still dealing with pain and a time of recuperation; these moments seemed to be the best, when it came to my relationship with God because I would sit for hours…reading God’s word and writing from the thoughts that He had placed upon my heart.
After I recovered…the bed went back into the other room and God began to move me another step forward, as the ministry began to move up to another level of service for Him. For me…life couldn’t have been any better…that is until Satan stepped in and began to work overtime on me. He has attempted to weaken me through the tiredness of a day…create more pain, as a means of taking me down and he has even attempted to use my past dysfunctional life to place me back into bondage.
One thing I have come to definitely see; is that Satan will not work that hard on a person, unless they are very closely attached to God. You see…Satan doesn’t waste his time on people that he already has control over; but rather, his aim is to separate and place a wedge between God and us; so that he can finish it off and take us down for good.
Even though I may struggle at times, to feel the love of God, in a way I once felt…before the ministry got busy…God’s love is still there and that’s what we need to focus on today. Even if we only feel a glimpse of His loving presence…penetrating the dark moments of struggle; this gives us hope that God hasn’t abandoned us.
You too may feel as if God’s love has grown distant, through the struggles that you have faced. You may feel as if your head is barely above the troubled waters and you may even feel as if you are losing the grip with God; that you once had. No matter what we face, we need to remember the verses in Romans 8:38-39, which reads… “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Remember one thing today…God’s love is so different from this worldly love we experience because there is power in His love and no matter what you face in life; nothing will ever be strong enough, to separate you from the love that God truly longs to show you each day!
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
