Hello everyone! I would like to welcome you back to Moments Spent with God! I am so happy to have you here with me today and my prayer is that these special moments alone with God, will truly touch us in a way that we have never experienced before.
It seems like lately, I have been facing some very hard blows from Satan and it seems like the moment I find the will and desire to keep pressing on, I just get slapped in the face again. The thing I was focusing on yesterday was to never give in or never give up. I remember a time in my life, when I would give up easily and accept second best, rather than God’s very best; but lately, I have come to see that we only make God defeated in our lives, when we allow Satan to win, by giving into our problems.
As I’m sitting here…focusing on God; He is reminding me that these battles we face could actually be Satan’s way of attempting to stop something big that is about to happen in our lives. Just think…if this is true and we choose to give up on life; then we will never know what God had in store for us.
As I face continual struggles with the ministry, sometimes I see these moments, as a reminder that I am truly walking in the right direction with God. We need to realize today that Satan doesn’t come at us, for what he already has; but rather, Satan comes at us, to take away and destroy.
You know…it’s so easy to lift our hands up to God and tell Him that we love Him, while enjoying the good moments of life; but what about the difficult times? Can we say that we react in the same way, during the moments that keep slapping us in the face and knocking us down? When we feel overwhelmed and drained from life’s struggles, do we still see God in the same way we saw Him, when everything was going well? Do we believe that His power is real and that He can easily defeat the works of darkness?
You know…if we were to think about it in this way…here we are just longing to give up on our problems, when we haven’t even given the most powerful being a chance to work on our behalf. Here God lives within us, as Christians; but yet we find ourselves bypassing Him, while we choose to believe the deceptive lies and thoughts of Satan.
How are we ever going to win these battles in our lives, if we are always giving into our problems? Don’t we realize that when we sit down and give up in the midst of a difficult battle; that we are only giving ourselves over to the enemy?
I have come to see that the struggles in my life are only there, so they will make me a stronger soldier in God’s army. We must realize that we can never win these battles, when we are listening to the enemy because his tactics and his ways are only meant to bring about destruction.
Maybe it’s time for us to get quiet with God and focus on where He is leading us, instead of where our problems are attempting to lead us. When we are willing to do this; then we will be spiritually ready for these battles that attempt to defeat us.
May we all find God to be everything we need, while facing the struggling battles of life!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
