![]() Hello everyone! I truly pray that your week has been a good one and that your weekend will be even better! God is so good…that is, if we are looking for His goodness! Today, while I’ve been sitting here in my office, I’ve been thinking on this week and all that God has brought me through. Maybe the week had some ruts in the road but God definitely was the strength I needed, to get over those ruts, so I could press on and continue to do the work that He has called me to do. You know…today, I was thinking on how we so easily get caught up in our moments of weakness; that we seem to bypass the strength that brought us through that weakness. The other night, I had a rough night, as my blood pressure was a little elevated. It turned out to be one of those nights, where I was in and out of sleep all night long. The next morning, when I was preparing to start my work, I was thanking God, for bringing me through the night and as I began to share my heart with Him, it was as though I stopped in my tracks and began to think…that even though this hadn’t been a good night...I still had something to thank God for and that was that He had brought me through a very disturbing night of rest. How many times do we become so focused on the difficulties that take place in our everyday lives; that we completely walk right by the moments, when God was truly there for us. You know…we don’t always have to have perfect moments in a day, in order to have something to thank God for. Maybe the day didn’t go as expected but we still have something to be very thankful for…just knowing that God brought us over those hurdles that could have taken us down for good. Do we realize that when we succumb to our weaknesses; then we are sending a message to Satan; that his plan is working? The other day, I was thinking on this and I’ve come to see numerous times; that the only way we are going to weaken Satan and his evil ways; is when we can find the good through the bad. You see…Satan longs to see us hurting…upset and in emotional pain but when we react in the opposite way, of what he is expecting; then what we are actually doing; is allowing God’s power to kick in, while bringing Satan to his knees, with great disappointment. Let’s face it people…this life here on earth is never going to be a perfect life. In fact, why are we looking for something perfect, in an imperfect world? Maybe we would be less disappointed, if we were to walk beyond the disappointment and anticipate what God could really do, to bring us through these difficult moments in our lives. Instead of succumbing to our weaknesses, maybe we need to take the time to see where we are at the moment and who brought us to where we are for that moment in time. If we could just find the strength through this powerful God we serve and walk with Him beyond our faults and life’s disappointments; then maybe we wouldn’t feel so down and out. No matter what you may be facing today, may I encourage you, to praise God for His goodness, rather than complaining about what has struck you down. When we choose to give attention to the One who is sustaining us, rather than the one who has afflicted us, I think that this is when we will begin to see the dark moments of circumstance fade into the background of our day, while the sunshine of God’s presence begins to overtake these dark and weak moments we once faced. Have a great weekend with God and I’ll see you again on Monday! Blessings... It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane PS…look for my Sunday writing, on “Sunday Inspiration!” Comments are closed.
