Hello everyone and welcome today, to Moments Spent with God! I pray that your week is off to a great start and my prayer today; is that we will come to experience a God, who truly understands every need of the heart!
As we begin a new week, there can be moments, when we feel like we are entering it alone. Our circumstances can make us feel isolated…especially, when no one seems to understand what we’re going through. How many times have we heard someone say…“I understand;” but yet we feel as if they aren’t truly connecting with the pain and heartache that goes deep within the heart? Moments like these can make us feel as if we are in a world of our own.
One thing I have truly come to see with time; is that God does understand every thought and feeling that runs through the mind and heart. You ask me how I really know this…because my God lives deep within my heart and when I am hurting or in need…He is there…reading every thought and feeling that has been etched upon my heart.
Don’t we realize today; that when Christ lives within our hearts; that He can truly connect with the painful moments that others cannot understand? After all…He lives within the heart; that can seem bruised and broken, by the daily struggles and trials we face.
I have experienced many moments in my life, when others have said that they understand…but deep down, I never felt that connection with them, as I do with God. I see my heart, as the home where God resides. He’s walking in my shoes every day and every blow that comes my way…He is experiencing it too.
Others may say that they care and maybe they do to some extent; but how can they truly understand what is racing through our minds and what our hearts and bodies are experiencing, unless they are living within these bodies; that we reside in every day.
Today, you may be experiencing a moment of deep heartache…grief or even physical pain. You may feel alone, in the moments that seem to have no end; but let me remind you of one thing in Psalm 34:18a… that “The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking…”
No matter who has walked out of your life and no matter how lonely these circumstances can make you feel…God is the One who is closest to your broken heart. When there are no words to say…only thoughts that keep reminding you of a broken moment in your life; God will read what has been etched upon your heart through these broken moments and He will step in and truly be there for you.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
