Hello everyone and welcome back to another week of writings on Moments Spent with God! I am so happy to have you here today and my prayer is that we will truly come to see God, in a way that can help us to trust Him more.
This past Saturday, I had the best day…a day that I had not experienced in quite some time, due to a lot of work. I had decided to leave the office behind and work on a few things outside and get some fresh air. I longed for this day so much; but as I woke up on Saturday morning, I noticed the clouds moving in, as if it might rain. As I sat on my bed, I asked God, if He could just give me this one day…away from my work, so I could relax.
As I finished my morning schedule, I began to gather everything I would need, to go outside and do some work in my roses and also to put some spring flowers in the wreath on the front door and transplant some chives. As I was standing by the rosebush working, I happened to turn around and as I looked up to the sky, I saw the sun shining in my direction, through the dark clouds that surrounded the sun. Somehow I knew that God was with me and that through my trust in Him…He was giving me the desire of my heart.
You know…there can be times when life goes the opposite direction, as what we first planned. We can feel like we are walking through a dry and barren land, as we wait for God to answer our prayers; but one thing I was reminded of today; is that part of trusting God, means that we are willing to lay ourselves to the side and allow ourselves to be conformed to His ways. As I’ve been sitting here today…thinking on this, I have come to see that we can either experience smooth sailing with God or life can end up being one long hard difficult battle.
Trusting God isn’t always easy. Let’s face it…we can find ourselves tired and drained, from the moments, when we sit and pray and wait on God. We can even feel forsaken and abandoned by His presence, as though He has given up on us and walked away, which can make us wonder, if God even loves or cares for us anymore.
One thing I’m learning more and more; is that sometimes God’s ways aren’t always the same as what we would like them to be. There may even be times, when the trial has now turned into a time of testing…a time, when God is waiting on us, to see if we will continue to lean on Him, through these uncertain and unknown moments in our lives.
Today, you may feel as if your circumstances have taken you to an isolated place in life, where you feel lost…alone and forsaken. These moments can make us wonder, if we will ever enter a new day, with something better than what we have been experiencing. In fact, a time of waiting can make us wonder, if anything will ever go right again in our lives.
One thing we need to cling to today; is the hope that God gives us in His word…hope that reminds us that He will never leave us or forsake us. Today, we need to hold tightly, to the moments when God has been faithful in our lives; for these moments will help us to keep pressing on, until God has once more answered prayer.
Blessings ALWAYS on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
