Hello everyone and welcome back to “Moments Spent with God!” I hope your weekend was a good one and I pray that today will be a great start to this brand new week! You know…we all face battles in life, whether it’s a physical…financial…emotional or even a spiritual battle. What we see before us can seem so overwhelming and real; that we begin to believe that the evil side of this battle will win for sure.
You know…when I came out of the majority of my pain and deep heartache and God began to open a door for me to serve Him, I have to admit that I thought it would be much easier; then what I had already been through. Little did I know that I would face another battle…and that battle would be within my ministry.
Some of you may not know this but there is another author by the name of Diane Chamberlain. Even though we have the same name, our writings are definitely not the same, as I write non-fiction/Christian inspirational writings, while she writes adult fiction. I have had her books mixed in with mine and after 4 confrontations with amazon, I have come to see that there is nothing that can be done. Due to this problem…the one book that once was a best seller in the UK, has now gone down to a 2 ½ star book, with some of the worst reviews…and only because they were basing their reviews on what they thought should have been adult fiction. The one problem that I have faced the most; is that they are angry because they are purchasing a Christian book, rather than the adult fiction that they are used to reading. I have even tried to have the reviews removed for this reason alone but amazon refuses to remove them.
A while back, I received an email from this other Diane Chamberlain and I guess a lady had written her an email and she was so upset because she couldn’t figure out, why a Christian lady with a ministry would write adult fiction. Come to find out, this lady was confused and thought that the other Diane Chamberlain had a ministry and was writing these adult fiction books. It took several emails before this lady could be calmed down.
I guess what I’m trying to say; is that Satan is working overtime and he’s even setting up decoys, as a means of attempting to stop God’s work and even separate us, from the love of God; but as I’ve been spending these quiet moments alone with God today; He has been hitting the cords of my heart and reminding me, of His great power and strength.
You know…I have come to see that when we allow Satan’s deception to take us away from the hope that God once built up within us; then we are only going to discover further moments of despair. Even though Satan seems to be working overtime in our lives, we need to gather our thoughts and allow God to lead our hearts back to Him, so we can connect once more, with hope…God’s power…His strength and most of all…who He really is; which is an undefeated God.
Satan definitely has a way of making these deceptive moments seem so real…even to the place, where we begin to feel hopeless, while focusing on every negative moment that is placed before us; but the thing I’m remembering today; is that my God defeated evil at the cross and He will continue to defeat these moments of deception that Satan places in our way.
The other day, I posted a quote on Twitter that goes like this… “The choices we make in life will either give God permission to work through us, or they will stop Him from working within our lives.” Today, can we say that we are making the right choice, when it comes to our circumstances? We need to realize that when we are willing to walk beyond the problem and give every part of the need to God; that is when we will be giving Him permission to go to work on our behalf and once He begins to work; that is when we will begin to see how He can defeat the works of darkness once more.
Have a great day & God bless ALWAYS!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
