Hello everyone and welcome back to Moments Spent with God! I hope you had a nice weekend and that you will truly experience the hand of a powerful God upon your life, as you walk through the week with Him!

Yesterday morning, I was talking with someone, who is really experiencing a lot of hardship in their life right now. As we were talking, I asked them if they were putting their trust in God or if they were putting their trust in their problem. From there, the person said… “I am trusting God;” but within a short time, they began to say… “But I’m worried about this and I’m worried about that.” From there, I replied back to them and said… “You can’t trust in God and worry at the same time…it just doesn’t work that way and when we tell God that we trust Him but yet we go back to worry; we are only preventing a powerful God from working within our lives.”

Today, as I was preparing to write, I was focusing on this powerful God I serve. As I looked out my window, I began to visualize a God, who is sitting on top of this universe…controlling every living thing that He has created. Just think…God becomes the most amazing artist, as He paints a different sunrise and sunset each day. He is the One who waters the earth with His tears and when God breathes down upon this earth, the trees even bow down before Him, while lifting their branches high to the sky, to praise their creator. Even as God sits on top of this universe, He has it suspended in midair and with one word, a star falls powerless, while the stars that remain…twinkle a dance before Him.

I honestly feel that our lack of trust comes from focusing too much on our problems. Have we forgotten the God that created us and every living thing? Are we too attached to what is wrong in this world; that we don’t see how this powerful God continues to have control over all things?

When we go back to an old rugged cross, we not only remember the death of God’s Son, Jesus Christ but we also remember a time, when His Son overcame death and rose again. Because Jesus continues to live on and on, we can face every tomorrow that comes our way. We need to ask ourselves one question though…are we serving a god that is still in the grave or are we serving a god that triumphed over evil and continues to have control over every living thing?

How many times are we going to beg God for help…only to venture back to a wallowing hole of faith that is weaker than our problems? The question I’m asking myself today is this…why are we allowing a powerful God to come and live within us, when we choose to believe the symptoms that come from a weak circumstance…over a God that remains much more powerful and undefeated, than anything on this planet? I have come to see over time that when we do this; then we are only tying up the hands of a powerful God, while we allow evil to step in and have its way with us.

You know…one thing I do know today; is that my redeemer lives and because He lives, I can face anything in life…and you know why? Because this God I serve has remained undefeated from the cross and I know in my heart; that nothing or no one could ever rise above the power that stems from this undefeated God!
Have a great day and God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
