Moments Spent with God with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Hello everyone and welcome today, to Moments Spent with God! I pray that your Monday is off to a great start! I am so glad that you stopped by today and my prayer is that we will truly find something solid to hold to, as we begin another new week!

You know…there are many who say that praying once for a specific need is enough. After all…God knows all things and He doesn’t need us to keep reminding Him of a need, when we have already shared that need with Him. As I’ve been sitting here and thinking on this, I can say that I agree; but at the same time, we shouldn’t just sit and do nothing, while the enemy attempts to take over our lives.

Today, we need to remember that these moments of affliction are really battles…battles that will either lead us closer to evil and more problems or they will lead us in the direction of a powerful God. I truly believe that we need to walk down a path of trust, while holding tightly to hope and a sword of faith.

Lately, I have come to see that Satan has a way of deceiving us, into thinking that we have to do nothing; but accept the problems that stand before us. Like the Bible says…Satan can walk into our lives in sheep’s clothing…making each thought feel as if this is what God desires and while Satan is responding to us in this way, we find that we believe those deceptive words, which only keeps us in the muck and mire of despair.

Today, we need to ask ourselves one question. Has our actions taken us into the enemies territory? In other words, have we found ourselves wallowing down to Satan’s deceptive ways and ideas, while we find later; that we have been taken away from the presence of God; so we can be controlled like a puppet on a string by evil?

We need to remember to leave our needs with God, while at the same time…fighting to overcome what Satan has placed before us. No soldier would ever sit in the midst of the battle and do nothing; so why do we tend to do this? A battle is only won, when we choose to stand up and fight, through God’s words and a spirit that only pursues and anticipates God’s best. Instead of allowing Satan to rejoice, through the negative reactions to our problems, we need to make him tremble and give him a reason to worry, rather than taking that worry and fear upon ourselves.

Today, you may be facing a battle in your life; that gives you the feeling, as if you are about to be taken down for good. May I encourage you today, to stand tall and allow the powerful God that lives within you; to give you the courage and strength you need, to fight this battle…until these works of darkness have been destroyed. Hold tightly to the One, who can fight these battles through you, while allowing God to remain undefeated in your life.

You know…we can pray and pray, until we are blue in the face; but until we are willing to walk down a path of trust and pick up the weapons of faith and hope and pursue this battle with God, we just may remain stuck in a wallowing hole that only keeps us out of commission with God and the best He longs to give us. Hold tightly to God today and never let go and get an attitude with evil and discover the goodness of a powerful God!
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
