Hello everyone! I would like to give you a big welcome today, to Moments Spent with God! Here we go…another new week with God! I’m so…so glad that we have Him to turn to, as we walk through each moment, of each new day!
Today, I’ve been thinking on all that God has brought me through…not just in my life but in this ministry. Last week, I had a workload, like you wouldn’t believe. All the books and everything on the internet had to be switched over to my new name…Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain. I have to admit; that when I thought about all that had to be done, I wanted to just crawl in a hole and forget about it all; but I knew that what I was doing, was the will of God and that He would be there, to give me the strength needed, to complete this overwhelming task.
For some of you who are new, you may be wondering why I had to change my name in the first place. Well…for many years now, I have had a problem…related to another author by the name of Diane Chamberlain. I guess you can say that this is a popular name but I didn’t like where my name and my books were being placed on Amazon; so as I gave the problem to God, this is where He led me and as of now, I can say that everything is looking much better!
Sometimes, giving our best to God isn’t always easy. Sometimes we have to walk an extra mile for God; but I believe in the end…He will truly bless our efforts and crown them with success. As I think on this, I look back to a life that at one time, only gave God second best; but that was before I watched a powerful God walk me through moments in my life that seemed overwhelming…out of control and definitely hopeless.
When I take a look back at an old rugged cross, I truly realize, even more than ever; that I can never repay what God has done for me through the cross and through a lifetime of pain and heartache. You know…sometimes, we need to take a trip back to the cross and just through these moments alone, I believe that our hearts and even our way of thinking will truly change. Here is a God, who gave His all to us…“so how can we do less; then give Him our best and live for Him completely, after all He’s done for us.”
Seems like these days, I’ve been truly connecting to the love and strength of a powerful God. If we take some time away from focusing on all that is happening around us, I truly believe that we would come to see the moments, when God’s strength kicked in and kept us going…especially during the times when we felt as though we couldn’t take another step forward. Just as I struggled this past week, to complete the work that God longed for me to finish…I now reflect on the strength that brought me through those moments.
How is it that we find it so easy to focus on every detail of our problems but yet, we can never seem to pick up on the little moments, when God stepped in and kept us safe and strong…during times, when we surely could have fallen into a pit of total destruction? Don’t we realize that when we get caught up in the foggy moments of circumstance; that we only find later; that we have become distant from God? I truly believe that we are only going to see God at His best, when we choose to look for His best to kick in…during the moments that just seem so hopeless.
As we begin this brand new week, I would like to encourage all of us to focus on a God of great strength, rather than the weak moments that can seem so overwhelming and out of control. You know…we can trust God’s promises to be true…that is, if we choose to anticipate them.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
