Hello everyone and welcome to Moments Spent with God! I pray that your day is going well and that we will truly experience a special touch from God, as we spend some quiet moments alone with Him!
Lately, I have been dealing with some problems that have resurfaced from the past. Last night, as I sat in the presence of God, I couldn’t seem to find the words that I wanted to say to Him and as I sat quietly for a moment…listening to some music, I began to see that sometimes, all we need to do is sit quietly in the presence of God and allow Him to read our hearts.
To me, our hearts become a wall, where all our feelings are etched deep within the heart…and when there aren’t any words to speak, we can sit quietly before God and allow Him to read the messages of pain…heartache or any other feeling that we may be experiencing at the time.
We must remember that God isn’t like any ordinary person…where He only listens to the words we speak but He is also a God, who can read our thoughts and know what’s buried deep within the heart. Sometimes, we just need to let the heart speak for us and communicate with the One, who knows our heart, even more than ourselves.
Another way of communicating with God; is when we let our tears become the language that speaks to God. As the tears turn inwardly and fall like a steady rain shower within the heart; God begins to gather each teardrop and piece them together, like a puzzle that reveals a hidden message.
You know…it’s not always easy to understand life and what it sends our way. It seems like the sun can be shining one moment and without any notice, a storm can brew on the horizon. As each painful moment sends lightning bolts across the heart and as the tears fall; these storms of life can make us stand speechless before a powerful God.
Today, you too, may be experiencing a sudden storm within your life, which can make you feel as if everything in your life is out of control. You try to pray to God but the pain in your heart seems to keep you silent. Don’t ever feel that these moments have cut off your communication; with the One you need the most. Just settle back and open up your heart, to a loving and compassionate God and once you have let go and given your feelings over to Him…He will look at the wall of your heart and read each broken feeling that you are experiencing at the moment.
One of my favorite Bible verses; that has always been of comfort to me, during the difficult moments, is in Psalm 34:18a, which says… “The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking… “I truly believe that God is drawn to our pain and heartache and when there are no words to say and the painful moments just seem to take away the prayer we long to pray; God will step in and He will read our thoughts and the feelings that have been etched so deeply within the heart.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
