Hello everyone! It’s so nice to have you back with me, on “Moments Spent with God!” I hope your day is off to a great start and I pray that you will be truly blessed, by what God has for us today!
Yesterday morning, I took some time off to do a little grocery shopping and no matter where I go, I always ask God to give us safety and to bless us with His best and you know what…He always seems to answer my prayer.
Anyways…after finishing my shopping, I was in the kitchen…putting the groceries away and as I was putting the food into the cupboards and fridge, I was thanking God for His provisions and within a few minutes, I began to think deeply on what He’s always doing for Keith and I each day. You know…I have found that when we give our best to God; He ALWAYS gives His best back to us…not because it’s expected of Him but just because of who He is.
For quite some time now, Keith and I have been helping someone in great need, so our budget has been tight; but through it all, I have come to see how God truly takes care of His own. It seems as though He’s always providing in ways that are unexpected and is always giving His best to us. It seems like the less I spend on food and other necessities…the more we seem to have. I have seen moments, when God has stepped in and has truly become our source of everything.
How is it that we always feel the need to lean on money and other things, to get through this life? Don’t we realize that God holds every resource within His loving hands and that He is more than capable of providing in any way He so chooses? When I look back and see how I used to depend so much on money and other things, to make it through this life; I thank God, for what He has taught me, through helping others in need.
There is one other thing that God has truly taught me over the years and that is that we can make the material things of this life our god, rather than turning to the true and living God. We can find ourselves so attached to these things; that before we know it, we are allowing money and other things to control us, while God remains on the backburner of our lives. You know…if we are ever going to make God the Lord of our life; then we need to let Him be everything for us. We need to let go of the worldly traditions that say that we can only make it, by having all of these things and take hold of a God that can truly provide in ways that money or any other thing can’t do.
When we are willing to let go of all the little gods in our lives; then there will be room for the true and living God to step in and work, in ways that we would have never expected. Maybe it’s time for us to fall completely into the arms of a God, who can take full control of our lives and make everything work out for His best. Once we are willing to let God work in this way; then we may just find; that we need Him all the time.
Have a great day & God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
